I bought the 9241 receiver and will be hooking it up this week , I plan on hooking up the dual lnb dish for this receiver do I need the sw 44 switch or can I just run the cables straight from the dish to the receiver, I have another dish that I run my other 2 receivers.

You can use an SW44 or 2 x SW21's, then 2 lines to the 9241, one to each input if you are going to use older Legacy equipment or a single DPP twin LNBF would allow you to just run 1 line to the rear of the receiver and then you use a DPP Separator.

and of course you can use the your existing dish with the proper switch setup.

So I have to use a switch , I was hoping to just run 2 cables one from 91 sat and one from 82 and hook them right up to the 9241.

No, you need to use a switch.

Doing it the way you think will result in 1 Tuner ONLY having 91 and the other Tuner ONLY having 82.
