Erie and Youngstown have been strong this evening. Didn't check anywhere else. Had my antenna pointed somewhere just west of Erie and my TV was getting 25 digital channels (including subs).

I saw Zainesville, Ohio breifly this morning NBC 18-1 on rf 40. Now that CBC is no longer on 40, I've been hoping to see the rf 40 from Lansing and Fort Wayne but no luck yet but I did see Zainesville this morning. So I now have one rf 40 on my list at least. The only rf channels left between 6 and 51 that I haven't seen atleast one channel on are 6, 9, 11 and 37 (not used for tv). I'm hoping some strong tropo will bring in ch 6 paris, ch 11 hamilton and ch 9 windsor or toronto. But with my CM 4221 it would have to be Very Strong!

Tonight I'm getting WBGU from Bowling Green on RF27; that's a new distance record for me.

I'm picking up CHWI 16 tonight (pointing 225 degrees) and TVO 33 (250 degrees), both 1-bar strength. I think these are both new for me.

Also getting WDIV and WXYZ (both 3 bars) but nothing else (digital) from the south-west, and nothing from Cleveland or Erie.

Anyone getting anything from Ohio tonight?

I find that quite significant. I occasionally picked up 6, 9 (both) and 11 when they were analog. That was with a non-directional UHF antenna and in a relatively poor location for DXing. I haven't seen a lock or picture on any of those stations since Sept 1.

Last night I was receiving channel 25-1 CBLF-DT RF25, and 41-1 CIII RF41 Toronto quite strong. I find these two channels broadcasting from the Toronto CN tower to be some of the best DTV channels reaching London during tropo.

Buffalo's 23-1 WNLO RF32 comes every tropo now that Citytv Woodstock 31-1 RF31 has gone digital. Pre transition this channel was very hard to pull in.

From my experience there is some relationship between analog station adjacent interference and digital station adjacent interference.

At this moment London has CBC CBLN in analog on channel 23 which is causing adjacent channel issues with Erie's RF22 and 24. I am hopeful that when (if) CBC does go digital that these adjacent channel issues will clear up.

nice tropo this morning/tonight
I have got Ft Wayne, Toledo, Flint, Syracuse, Buffalo to name a few.

Actually I got two new channels.
9-1 RF9 CBET-DT Windsor and 39-1 WFWA RF40 Ft Wayne. My first RF40 pick up since CBC vacated the RF.

Tropo from TO and Buffalo for me. Killing some of my stations I think.

Hey Panamark, nice catch! What time did you see that Fort Wayne channel? I've been hoping to see that one since cbc left 40. All I've seen on 40 so far is Zainesville, Ohio. Had all kinds of Buffalo/TO last night but nothing new. Almost saw chch 11 for the first time but the snr peaked at 13 (darn). This morning Youngstown was booming but I didn't have much time to spend. Hopefully this tropo lasts for a few days.

Insane conditions tonight--haven't seen such strong tropo for a while.

WROC 8.1; Rochester
Bounce 8.2 (sub channel)
CKWS; RF 30; Brighton, ON

All of the Buffalo and region stations, including WBBZ (RF 7)

indeed Jase,
picked up a Syracuse channel here in London tonight.
It was channel 10-1, but I can't remember the call letters.

If you get a chance to check today or tonight people of Southern Ontario should have favorable conditions to receive tropo.
Currently I am receiving all Cleveland channel's except channel 10-1 on account of CFPL being here.
I am expecting markets like Columbus, Cinncinatti, Fort Wayne, Toledo, and perhaps even South Bend/ Chicago.

Fall tropo has always produced the best distance tropo:cool:

.Thx Mark
yeap, I think my longest distance came last year, ~ November if I recall correctly. When I was watching CFPL, the AM news was on, saw sumthin about waterloo / kitchener scrollin by, so guess I just assumed,.

Like last night, things have become real busy after 6pm again.
Burning hot tropo from London/KW in the last 2 hrs. Almost every London channel was seen among others..

CKCO 13 *a new digital over top of WTVG.
CIII 6
OMNI2 20
OMNI1 48
CKXT 19
CFPL 10
CITY 31
TVO 18 <- HDTV froze/locked up then reboots when tuning this channel! Real nasty PSIP? Never before has the TV done this with *any* channel in the last 3 yrs until now.
TVO 28
WGRZ 33
WKBW 38
WJET 24
WICU 12

Around 3-4pm Cle/Akr was booming in exclusively, but has since fallen victim to massive co-channel.

Think this is a new one for me, since CHCH used to occupy RF 18
WISE Fort Wayne, IN - RF 18, 33.1, 33.2
CFPL VHF 10 from London again

Edit: nuther one from Ft Wayne, IN WFFT RF-36, 55.1

I'm getting a clear CHEX (CBC analog, channel 12) Peterborough here in Kitchener. That will probably kill any chances of WICU for me.

Also getting a snowy analog picture on channel 2...can't quite identify the station. Might be a CTV station...

Since Majortom is seeing Indiana, I'm going to swing that way and see what I get....
