Then maybe the OP should try that as well. In the end, it's up to the OP what looks good on his tv. All I did was offer up a configuration that gives a good PQ on mine.

Thanks, guys. Actually, the first thing i did, even before posting this thread, was go into the TV settings and adjust all those settings you mentioned, and yes, i had to set the sharpness to max.

What i will look into is the noise reduction setting. That may help the PQ a little more. I think you guys have helped me as much as you possibly can, so thanks again.

One more thing before i go, and i'm guessing this is, most likely, the wrong forum to be asking, but since the HD channels look so great, does Bell offer a more exclusive HD package? Say, where we could get the majority of the channels in HD? Maybe that's a silly question, and we already seem to get a good portion in HD, but right now we just have the basic cable and some movie channels - we really haven't had time to look into their other packages.

i had to set the sharpness to max.

What i will look into is the noise reduction setting. The best PQ is obtained when all "automatic" settings are defeated, sharpness is normal and noise reduction "off", settings include "cinema"/"warm" (D65) and brightness and contrast are calibrated.
