Raonic will be starting to warm up now (2pm EDT) and Sportsnet has posted that they will not be showing the match.

oh that sucks, did sportsnet at least show the other matches this morning?

Yes Sportsnet did show the matches during the scheduled time period. However, whoever they were getting the feed from went off the air at 1:30 pm so Sportsnet was at their mercy.
I don't see the Raonic match on ESPN or my usual live streaming sites and there is also another match going on now on center court that is also not being shown, so I suspect there is no tv coverage at all.

Raonic, now moved up one notch in ATP world ranking to #27, has won his first match in Estoril Portugal. Since this is only a 250 event, there does not appear to be any planned tv coverage for the entire tournament.

Rogers Sportsnet (RSO) West & Pacific will be covering the men's QFs of the Estoril Open from 9am to 2pm on Friday. Raonic made it to his first clay court QF and will play Gilles Simon of France. The matches start at 5.30am ET. The website doesn't say if RSO W&P will be just picking up coverage live in progress when they come on the air at 9am or showing all matches (or just some of them) by delay. I'm guessing the latter.

Thanks for the tip Andrew1. Sportsnet sure keeps their tennis plans secret. Their website's Tennis section makes no mention of this at all. You need to look at the daily schedule to find it.

My eyes are shot looking at the poor quality of live streaming but they should recover for Raonic' Friday match which will start at 9 am EDT, so Sportsnet should show it live since it is the first important match of the day for the men's side.

Got the time wrong for Raonic' match. Should be around 11am EDT.

The tennis they've been showing is a review of last week's tournament in Barcelona. They're now showing Connected.

The official Estoril Open website gives little info but it did say rain came just after the men's doubles was decided. The website provides no info about today's men's singles matches.

Sportsnet is showing the resumption of the Soderling Del Potro match and European live streaming is showing the Anderson Verdasco match.
We're stuck at looking at live scoring for Raonic Simon.

Are they showing it now? I just checked online scores Raonic losing 1st set 4-5 but on serve.

Match suspended due to darkness. Raonic will be serving at 5-6. They are on serve now, but both broke each other once.
Hopefully Sportsnet will show the rest of the match Saturday.

Raonic will play Verdasco in today's semifinal.

This will be super to watch since after Raonic beat Verdasco on hard courts, Verdasco's quote was "For me that's not a real match in tennis. I hope to play soon against him in clay court to show him what it is to play tennis, and play rallies, and run, and not [just] serve."
Here's hoping Raonic will show him some "real" tennis.

However Raonic is at a clear disadvantage in that Verdasco completed his quarter final match much earlier this morning in an easy match, while Raonic was rain delayed a second time and had a much tougher match. And he will be playing again in just a few hours.

Since Sportsnet coverage at 3pm is all tape delay, hopefully they will show the Raonic match first, but I fully expect to see the other semifinal first.

11am update - the current matches (not Raonic') are suspended due to rain.
12noon update - play back on.
1:22pm update - Raonic starts play right now. I'm leaving my pc now and will turn on Sportsnet at 3pm. If the match isn't being shown then, I'll be some upset!

Raonic now moved up 2 spots to #25 world ATP ranking.
Just heard a "live" phone interview with Raonic on Sportsnet and his back problems are resolved enough that he will definitely play Madrid tomorrow Tuesday. The match will start approx 10am EDT and if there is anyone from Sportsnet reading this, PLEASE cut into any match you're showing and show the Raonic match live.

It's 10:40am and Sportsnet is only showing Raonic on their live streaming website and showing a different match on their broadcast channel. They have 5 broadcast channels to use!!!!
What are they thinking?????

Was there commentary available on the live streaming? If the answer is yes then I don't see why couldn't have shown it on TV.

The Sportsnet live streaming had no commentary but that's still ok for tennis. Makes you feel like you're at the match when of course there is no commentary and you need to pay attention.

Interestingly, Sportsnet had some serious difficulty with their streaming towards the end of the first set with a lot of freezing making the match practically unwatchable. I then switched to European live streaming which was smooth AND had commentary in English, not as much as the "regular" main feed guys but still some commentary.

If this situation occurs again I feel most Canadian tennis fans would rather watch Raonic without commentary rather than a different match with commentary.

Sportsnet may only have the ability to show the "international feed" on TV. I get the feeling they may be restricted to showing whatever that feed is showing. It is certainly easier than switching back and forth between feeds without notice.

Raonic lost his Rome first round match today to Verdasco. Now we won't have to try to figure out what matches of his Sportsnet was planning to show this week.

According to my TV guide along with the Rogers Sportsnet (RSO) website they are supposed to be showing the Madrid final right now yet instead they are showing some highlight show. I had to turn the TV off when they mentioned the tennis finals because it was clear they were going to give away the result. It looks like RSO will not show the final.

Connected got delayed because of an OHL playoff game (it went to OT). The tennis is on all four Sportsnet channels right now.
