: Folders for Main / Archived Recordings?

Greetings,

I apologize if this has been asked before but I have not seen any reference through the search tool.

Bell 9142. Is there a way, or is there a plan to be able to create folders either in the main or ehd region to store recorded programs? I love having tons of space on my 1.5TB EHD, but having 53 x "Seinfeld" entries is a bit annoying. It would be nice to be able to structure a sub-directory list and store archived shows in a more organized way.

Is there a way to do this? Did I miss something? Has this been discussed before?

Thank you.

- Ben

Discussed before but its been awhile.

As you know the PVR creates its own folders based on show name. To my knowledge, you cannot create your own directories and administer them.

Actually you can store Recording in Folders on the Internal Drive, I have never connected an EHD so I can't say if that is possible or not.

Press PVR, then on the Right Press GROUP, choose Group By Title.

It will then place all your Coronation Street Recordings in 1 Folder (Group).

Pinza, Isn't Group by Title the default?

(note that Group By Title is automatic, you can't create user defined directories and move files between directories)

Yes it is the 'default' but I re-name some of my recording so I can keep them away from prying eyes.

And again, you are correct, you cannot move from Group to Group.

I find the Grouping useful because instead of seeing 25 Recordings of Dr Phil, I have them go into a Group, that takes up 1 line on the PVR list but shows it contains 25 shows.

It will fully take care of the OP's question;

but having 53 x "Seinfeld" entries is a bit annoying.

He would see 1 Group with an entry saying 53 shows.
