I had an onboard sound card with my Asus motherboard (soundmax) and it had a coax spdif for outputing digital signal to my receiver.

I decided to upgrade my sound card to an Audigy 2 (dvd audio etc etc) and now I can't play WMVHD DVD's with Dolby Digital, only Pro Logic.

How come my crappy arse onboard sound could do this but my brand spaking new top of the line sound card can't? :/

Note: I can play ac3 files in dolby digital using Nero's multimedia player. I can play DVD's in dolby digital glory with WinDVD, I just can't get dolby digital with WMVHD CD's

Any help would be greatly appreciated
