I noticed the same thing this afternoon - nothing coming in by OTA, but it was fine on cable. My DTV-5000 converter didn't show the "No Signal" message, there just wasn't any video or sound.

It seems to be back as of 11:50 Friday Morning... very strange

Coincidentally, I just finished installing an Antennas Direct CPA-19 pre-amplifier onto my ClearStream4. Specifically to boost the signal on my "fringe" channels. CHEK was still marginal but when it disappeared completely I was ready to rip out the useless piece of crap. I don't usually assume the station is off-air when troubleshooting my rig. Fortunately I can count on these forums to get a station status.

It seems that broadcasters are a lot less concerned about "dead air" than they used to in the old analog days.

Hopefully CHEK raised their antenna and boosted their signal. C

Not sure if it's just my reception. Doubt it when I lose both at the same time. Anybody notice that, too? Tried fiddling with my antenna but no luck. Not any hint of signal.

CHrisCHu: You're not the only one. I just came here to find out.

I have a full signal lock on both channels (65% on citytv and 90% on omni) but no picture or sound...

Here in Anacortes I have my HTPC set to record Omni at 10 AM (Price time). Checked it at 10:30 - Nada. Checked CBC at the time to see if my antenna was OK. It was.

Got Letterman tonight, so things are OK now - I hope.

Can anyone do a scan and confirm that 22.1 Global is now displaying psip data

The program data for Global is on my box right now.

Finally, seems Global BC is the only one (or few) of the BC stations using PSIP?

Not really, CTV(both one and two) in Vancouver had using PSIP as long as I received their DTV signal.
I had some image in my mind that CBC had used PSIP before but I'm not quite sure about this...

Oh, right... those two CTV channels, I can rarely get, but when I did get one , I do remember it did have PSIP info...

On a side topic, here down south, we have channels RF 17 and 33, which conflicts with your same two channels up north... I wish CRCT and FCC would colaborate, so that those stations don't use the same RF channel... That's why I have such a hard time to get your RF 17 and 33.

CBUT did have an electronic program guide with their PSIP, but it hasn't being working since Spring 2009.

be236: When you said had time on RF 33, did you mean Citytv instead of CTV?
CTV is now on RF 32 after the switch and Citytv made the move to RF 33 from RF 47 in order to leave spaces to JoyTV to made it's digital signal started.

swan_ch,

Yes, I mean RF 33 (CityTV), which I can not get since it conflicts with local RF 33 (KWPX/ION TV) here in Seattle area.

I wish CityTV would have found a different channel to use, say RF 34 or RF 37 which I believe is not used in Vancouver or Seattle.

RF 37 which I believe is not used in Vancouver or Seattle.

It's not used in most of the western hemisphere due to international treaty. It's reserved for radio astronomy.

BE236 - I realise this isn't realistically practical to suggest changing your TV, but my Sharp television seems to be able to separate the conflicting channels. Anybody else see that with other Sharp TVs in the Lower Mainland / Vancouver Island?

Really, I thought that was reserved for RF 36?

Sharp TV, eh?

I heard that LG and Samsungs had the best/sensitive tuners...

I had already tried a Vizio 2009 LCD TV and it wasnt much better than my older Sony 2006 CRT HDTV.

I have been tempted to buy a new Samsung/LG 2011 LCD TV to try, since I heard they are 6th generation tuners, which are the best so far...

Not at all. KSTW-DT was on 36 before the transition.
