27.1 and 29.1 were up and running yesterday in Victoria for a couple of hours but both of them are down I am 1km from tower SNR is 30db ish but no channel.

21.1 and 23.1 are up and running though.

Getting CBC at 25db and CBC-F and around 18db

Minus the Rogers issues the transition looks fantastic.

CBC went from being my second-weakest signal to my strongest Vancouver signal. 70% on my DTV converter box.

No idea. It looks like the transmitters are running (I have a 60% signal from both) but the PSIP data is either bad or non-existent. Does anyone have contact information for the CHNM/CKVU engineering department?

Trip was bang on. Most converter boxes (and my Sharp TV) aren't able decode the MPEG-2 audio CHEK-DT is transmitting.

I just got off the phone with the engineer who confirmed that some temporary equipment was needed to be installed (due to shipping delays) and it is transmitting MPEG-2 audio. He discovered the problem last night and did not give an ETA for resolution, but I'm satisfied that they are aware of the issue and working on it.

I see 26.1 and 43.1 are now 720p now thats a great upgrade looks better than even last night. My main computer died last night after scanning was the last time it booted MB failed on sata controler so upgrade weekend Only things now all OTA is working I can only see it on TV's for the next day or so ( yes I backed up all data and have a image from the 28th august nice and current :) so I may be away for a few days

I rescanned my the channels this morning. CTV (32-1) seems to be problematic going between 0 and >80% strength but it has done this for months. I get a blank analog channel 63. Should i just get rid of this one?

I noticed this morning that I had to AUTO PROGRAM as opposed to ADD DIGITAL CHANNELS to rectify the channel change at 2.1 from 58 to 43. Since 58 occupied the 2.1 spot in the tables it had to be overwritten with AUTO PROGRAM.

Digital tuners...fickle!

Well I tried sending an email to the general inquiries address but not surprisingly instead of forwarding it onto the engineering department I got back some general information about the DTV transition.

I can also confirm that 29 and 27 are up again. Did a rescan on my HTPC and like magic there they were.

CHEK 6 Analogue is still on the air!

Suppose it's because their digital channel 49 is having audio issues with many people, including me. Though I'm only getting the digital CHEK 49 at about 30% or so in West Vancouver. Picture seems fine, but at 30% signal strength the slightest fluctuation- weather, etc., and I'm sure it'll pixelate or drop out. I'm thinking, with an outdoor antenna, I should be getting more than 30%.

they broke cbc ... its 4:3 in a 16x9 looks squished(fat ppl look skinny.. lol) and audio is 5.1 but its crackly .. :rolleyes:

I re-scanned and now I'm getting 24-1/2/3 (KBCB), in addition to the local stations, though these 3 are not hd, but content is not worth watching, except one is a Spanish station, so could be useful for some...
