This station is only a translator of WNYB, same 3 sub-channels. If you already receive WNYB then it's just a duplication. I think it will be receivable east of Toronto only.

WBNF-dt will be much weaker in the GTA with that directional signal.

It's a good use of the TCT donors' dollars to be sending out two identical signals to the people of Buffalo. Hopefully they'll sell WNYB once WBNF is up.

Just starting to doubt myself here.

When I tune to WNGS 67.3 all I get is a silent black screen on my two HDTVs and my HDHomeRun.

Is everyone else getting the same thing?

I had Me-TV for about four or five days and then it went dark, and then it went dark & silent.

I hope it comes back. Me-TV looked like a great place to land when nothing else is on.

WNYB has signal issues in downtown Buffalo, so WBNF fills the gap. Toronto will have issues for reception of WBNF-DT but if you look at their signal pattern, areas east of Toronto should recieve it ok.

I wonder if anyone knows if/when WNGS will start providing PSIP programming data?

I have understood that US stations were required to provide such information.

Unrelated...From their website teasers, it would appear that MeTV on 67.3 will officially launch on Aug 1.

Despite having only 25 followers on Twitter, @WNGSTV is usually good at responding to inquiries via Twitter (and their Facebook page). I would certainly ask them questions in one of those forums.

that's a good question. wonder if there's some special temporary authority permits that let's one get around that for a while, when first setting up? Either way, I've had Mythtv setup to pull it from zap2it for quite some time. even stuffed the upcoming MeTV guide info from Cleveland's affilliate in to the 67-3 slot, though not on air full time yet.

Just watching a Yankees/Oakland game tonight on WNGS. I'm surprised the game is being presented in standard def. Is this the case for all ball games on this station?!

A few times I've caught Yankee games on WHAM 13.1 in Rochester (comes in for me during tropo). All the games I've seen have been in HD.

I have paid attention to WNGS since I started picking it up.

Tonight as with every other game I have seen was in 4:3 SD.

Tonight's game was a blow-out so I watched Tora! Tora! Tora! on ThisTV, instead. It, too, would have looked good in HD.

I just found out CH-15 WBNF will be broadcasting in digital with 3 sub-channels some time before the end of August. It's main signal pattern in Canada will be to the east, away from Toronto.

Humbar,
Do you know if the WBNF rf15 info on TVFool is accurate as per what you found out today?
