My PC suddenly stopped outputting any audio, so i did a restart, and then it stopped outputting video! I had the HDMI plugged into the video card, so i thought i'd try plugging it in to the HDMI slot on the mobo, even tried plugging in another monitor into the VGA, still no video. I tried a few restarts, but my monitors show no input.

The computer sounds like it's booting up properly, but my screen doesnt show the BIOS screen, so i cant be sure.

I guess my question is, how can i tell if it is an issue with the video card or motherboard? Should I pull the video card and try again?

Pull the video card and plug your monitor into the onboard video slot.
If you see video (99% sure you will if you have the right onboard port), then try putting the video card back in and see what happens.
If it's blank with your monitor plugged into the right port (probably have DVI and HDMI on the graphics card?)
Then you've isolated your problem. ;)

You may want to check the BIOS, that the onboard video is enabled, when you pull the video card.
(may be F2 or F8 to go to BIOS - could be a challenge without a working video!)
