This is the main transmitter. There is another application with 5 extra minor transmitter placement around the main transmitter.

Emerald_Boar, thanks for posting those great coverage maps. However, I have one big nit pick with them. It's not your fault but here is the situation. Most of London is in a valley. That is except for areas on the outskirts, like Byron, that are surrounding hills. Some broadcasters have placed their transmitters in Byron, providing good coverage. OTOH, others, such as CH, CTV and Global have their transmitters placed well outside the city, creating a situation where large parts of the city are 2 edge and seriously so. Yet, I don't see any "holes" in the maps that reflects this for parts of the city that are affected. Just my 2 cents regarding the inaccurate picture these maps create to regulators, such as IC and the CRTC, when they make their decisions.

That is because the maps are based on protected contours, and not realistic propagation studies. Protected contours are table-based predictions of coverage that only look at the antenna pater, and the topography within close proximity of the tower ( I think about 10 miles or so).

16km, the same distance used for calculating height above average terrain.

10 miles = 16 km.
