...just a few clarifications on questions from yesterday...

There's no more pay per view of NHL games in Canada. All games of all six Canadian teams will be broadcast, either by a national or regional carrier.

The catch, of course, is some Canucks, Oilers, Flames and Sens games will be on Rogers Sportsnet One, which isn't carried by BellTV. My guess is that the centre ice channel for these games will be blacked out in their "local" region (i.e. Canucks games will be blacked out in BC and Yukon), but may be available elsewhere for those that subscribe to NHL Centre Ice.

Also, I don't subscribe, but I understand the NHL Gamecentre live is available as part of the the "Bell TV Online" service ( http://tvonline.bell.ca ). All BellTV subscribers can watch streamed programming online, based on what channels they get on their TV. Currently, it's limited to NHL Gamecentre/Centre Ice, Family Channel, Playhouse Disney, The Movie Network and HBO Canada.

What's the use in having a free preview of NHL centre ice when the only game they are showing tonight I can't watch because it is on Leafs TV.

The preview is for the start of the season. You will get all the games then.

So NHL Center ICE is part of NHL or not?
Ex Agent said that It is NHL that decides if the games are or not blockout.

I still don't understand why if I pay full price , I cannot see all the games.
Even if the locals are presenting them... IM paying!! I should be able to see all games...

Thanks for the link... now I better understand what is their objective.

So it would be perfect to me that lives in the east coast to follow west coast
NHL games...

I noticed in the Bell Program Guide there has not been one game added to the Centre Ice package from Sportsnet One. Bell better get there act together soon or else

The NHL has released there Center Ice schedule and it says all Sportsnet One games are on Center Ice...But I still don't see them on my Bell guide. You can see it here http://www.nhl.com/ice/schedulebymonth.htm

My guess is that if Sportsnet One is not carried, Bell will be able to use the opposing team feed for those games. In the preseason, most of the games have not had another feed so nothing for Bell to carry.

But that being said I know Shaw is not even showing pre season games and they have Sportsnet One, so it is a wait and see until the reg season starts with what Bell will do.

Shaw is showing the pre-season games that Sportnet One is showing on their companion channel. Edmonton vs Vancouver is on tonight. It is true that Shaw isn't showing any pre-season games on their Centre Ice channels though.

Well Wed. game between Calgary and the NYI which is listed being on SN1 is on Centre Ice. I don't know what feed it is but it doesn't say there are viewing restrictions on it, so maybe it is available to Western Region subscribers too.

During the regular season, all in market games on Sportsnet One (+ those of the opposing team) will be blacked out as per NHL broadcast regulations. For example, if you are in the Senators viewing area and the Sens are playing the Black Hawks (on WGN), both the Sportsnet One Ottawa + WGN feeds will be blacked out for you on NHLCI.

The only way to view this game in the Senators viewing area will be to have a Sportsnet One subscription. This is not dependent on who your tv supplier is.

Don't be fooled by the preseason as all Shaw Broadcast NHL feeds are presently open keyed at this time for any supplier

On my Bell guide it says the Canucks Sharks game is on CI10 @ 7PM that is obviously wrong. The Oilers/Coyotes is on but in standard Def for tomorrow I dont see it on the HD channels. As for the Flames Islanders I dont see that on my Bell guide at all.

The feeds from Sportsnet One were available on Centre Ice last night (in SD), so I guess it won't be a problem for Centre Ice even if Bell doesn't reach an agreement with Rogers.

The only issue for those Sportsnet One games is for viewers, in the teams blackout territory, will have no way of seeing those local games. Last night both Oilers and Flames games were blacked out to AB, SK, MB, NWT so we had no opportunity to view the games.

Has anybody gotten their new promotional code for NHL Gamecenterlive or heard anything? MY old code doesn't appear to work for the new season.

Yeah, I talked to a CSR and they didn't seem to know what I was talking about. I couldn't get the site to work with my question either. It didn't recognize Bell #s.
