We know for a fact that HD equipment hasn't been installed at CFPL and other CTV2 stations? I realize that local news studio HD equipment may not yet be installed. But many stations lacking an HD newscast and local content do a really good job with PQ on HD network feeds....

I can tell you at CKCO, the network programming is fed via fibre from Toronto to CKCO, and then it is fed via HD microwave to the transmitter in Baden. The newscast is fed live via fibre to Toronto and then inserted into the network feed.

CTV TWO (A Barrie) Came up on 10.1 for about 20 minutes (possibly more) this morning. I guess they're working on it now.

The nice thing is, It looks like I won't need a rotor. Even though the 91XG is aimed at the CN Tower I guess the signal is strong coming out of Barrie and I'm only 22 miles away that it's picking it up from the side. It showed about 75% Signal.

What's strange is 3.1 is showing with a CKVR tag, it didn't stay on long enough that I could see what channel it was

I've left it on, but it hasn't come back up again that I've noticed.

just noticed tonight that Zap2it show a CHWI 16.1 as well as the plain 16.

The 16.1 shows "SIGN OFF" where the programming schedule should be

Odd, since my Zap2it just lists a plain 16 (as well as 60 even though they moved to 26).

CBET has a 9 and a 9.1 listed for the last few days, same programming.

CHWI 26 Windsor is now down (as it was earlier this morning between 2 and 11). Something must have happened because the Program Director told me today that the switch wasn't happening until after midnight.

My understanding was CHWI 16 and 26 will convert at 6AM.

Excerpt from the email I received from the PD:

>>...the plan is to switch both 16 and 26 to digital tonight immediately after midnight. If any technical issues remain, they will be resolved overnight and we’ll officially commence broadcasting by 6am at the latest.

Didn't know that. Looks like I'll have to stay up for this!

Will CFPL (CTV Two) London be switching to digital channel 10.1 overnight tonight as well?

Yes, most CTV stations (including CTV TWO stations) plan to transition shortly after midnight tonight. And that includes CFPL London.

CHWI CTV2 CH16 analog just went down at 11:48pm.

EDIT: Digital has started at around 11:53p as CHWI_HD 16-1 1080i HD 16:9 but the stream is continuous pixelation and broken up sound sound.
