Could this slowly spell the end of piracy or will they be forced to go underground?

It just goes to show how out of touch the RIAA is in that they were going after Limewire and its users.

I'm shocked they haven't gone after Usenet news providers. There only seems to be a few big providers and I've seen some bragging about retention in the 600+ day range (don't know if that is true though).

Having used Limewire on rare occasions and still fondly remember Napster, the obscure music that you could find with it was great, what is the current popular P2P program. Or is it all torrents all the time now?

Limewire was/is pretty well only used for mp3's, especially one-off songs.
I "know someone" that used it all the time with absolutely no issues besides the odd lousy rip.
