: All digital signal?

Just signed up with Novus for TV. I've had their phone and internet for a month or so as I just moved to their service area.

So far everything has been fantastic, including customer support.

But, how can I tell if I'm receiving an all-digital signal? I've switched my old Shaw Motorola DCT 6412 P3, and I'm planning to switch another DCT700 I have, which of course will require the all-digital feed. In the meantime I just want to make sure I'm getting the best quality possible. No plans to hookup a TV without a DCT.

I've searched around, but any search with "digital" in it brings up far too many results. :)

Thanks.

The only SD box Novus advertises is the DCT700 so they are all-digital and yours should work fine. If you want to confirm your existing 6412 is using all-digital, tune to one of the lower numbered channels that are normally analog. If you see he Dolby Digital logo in the bottom right corner the you're all-digital.

Thanks that's what I thought, but the DD logo is not there on the lower channels, so I guess I'm getting an analog signal right now. I've sent them an email to confirm.
