Don't know if this is possible but trying to get iptv at my cottage. First I plugged it directly into the internet, then I created a vpn connection between my cottage and house and connect the stb to the vpn, again it didn't work. On a side not last night at my house I tried to move the stb upstairs and used a wireless bridge and it didn't work. For some reason it can't make a connection over wireless and vpn or it is blocking it. I just finished first year taking computer networking and thought the vpn was going to work. Any ideas how I may be able to get the stb to work at my cottage.

Thanks

iptv runs on different subnet than your internet.

Thanks for the quick reply. Funny thing I just read something similar in another post here. Obviously it won't work if it's in a different subnet. I did notice a strange ip on the stb but i thought my the router dhcp was giving an ip in the same network as the internet.
