My family just recently moved to a new location and decided to get our phone, internet and tv services from Telus- telus tv kept cutting out, so we decided to cancel it. It came with a box that already had PVR on it, with no additional costs and we were able to record on 2 other televisions as well, and it had HDMI cables for HD...
What I'm getting at is, will my shaw deal come with with recording usage and HDMI cables for HDTV?
Thanks for your time.
Usually (unless you negotiated for them), you'll need to purchase or rent any STBs (set top boxes) from Shaw. They usually do not come with HDMI cables (unless that's dependent on the model or has changed recently), although these can be purchased inexpensively on-line or from a computer store (less than $20). You will need a STB for each TV and you won't be able to "network" them. It probably would have been a good idea for you to do your research before going with a new package.
Your thread was moved to the appropriate forum. You may wish to read about the various STBs in this forum before asking more questions, and ask questions in existing threads if possible. Since you mention HDMI and HDTV, I assume you're talking about HD STBs.
If you want recording you will have to get a shaw PVR cable box that has the hard drive in it and as far as I remember, they do not come with an HDMI cable.
You can get HDMI cables pretty cheap at your local computer store.

If you are getting an HD box from Shaw it does come with an HDMI cable. It is clearly stated on their website also under the hardware. If you are getting SD then you would have no need for an HDMI cable thus its not provided. The cable I believe is about 6 feet.
