I just went to see Hellboy. Good clean fun it is. Intense but definitely viewable by the older kiddies who are non-sensitive and over nine, in my estimation of course. I was struck by the fact that the heroes were not broken down into demographics; it was just a group of people. It should make a fabulous DVD. Sub woofer test material for sure.

I'll second that, excellent movie over all, well worth seeing. In particular, I enjoyed the humour in the movie, it never took itself too seriously.
lol....Im not just saying this to stir things up, but I did not like that movie at all.
I couldnt get past the holes in the plot, or the tacky dialogue. I almost walked out.
On the other hand...I am glad you liked it. I guess its just me.

DVD release should be around August-September. I'll wait. Can't stand going to the theatre anymore.
I thought the movie was entertaining. I found that the Hellboy character had a similar disposition as Wolverine from the X-Men.
-Don't like authority
-Prefer to be a lone ranger
-Smoke old stogies
-Have a pretty good sense of humour
-Thouroughly enjoy what they do
If you like Wolverine, you will like Hellboy's character
I do not think you are stirring things up, I have a similar reaction to a lot of comic book stuff in film. This one just worked for me though. This seemed less preachy than X-men but certainly in the same spirit.
Actually I loved X-Men...
The things I didnt like about Hellboy...
-Corny or Terrible Dialogue..... (FBI AGENT: What the hell is wrong with you? (to the sword swinging metal head) (Obviously he is attacking you, just as he has been the whole movie)LOL
-Unexplained events and occurances
-Unanswered questions at the end

saw this a couple of days ago while away on business.....I must say...I thought it was one of the worst movies I have seen so far...
I was ready to leave after the first ten minutes...thought I'd hang in to the bitter end....just didn't do it for me...

Saw it today. Didn't do much more me, but it'll make a good DVD.
