Take a look at Sony Vaio . There is a wide choice of fashionable notebooks, from light and thin netbooks, to large 24 " touch screen. The Z series seems to fit your needs (13" screen). I have a smaller version, the TT series (11" screen) which unfortunately is no longer available.

BTW, you can custom order it from a store rather than online, and outfit it with the features you like, SSD, BR, WIN7 etc.

If you are considering wind, you should definitely look at the sony vaio notebook (the x series). I have not looked at the wind lately, but Sony Vaio used to have much better screen resolution.

I have been looking at the LG-T380-L.ARA4BA9 13.5" it is way ahead of most other stuff below the 800$ price range. Considering it has an 8 cell lion battery, hdmi, and wireless bgn and is less than 4lbs in weight! It does lack a blueray drive though so if this is a must then it doesn't cut it. The newest intel graphics are plenty good enough for just about anything except perhaps extreme gaming. The stuff at around the 1000$ price range from LG is even better as far as graphics goes but will not give you the battery life or portability that this one does.
