The NASA channel, Rogers digital 254, breaks up and has all kinds of digital noise and freezes. Anyone else having this issue? I have an 8300HD DSTB and this is the only channel that shows any kind of significant artifacting. My HD channels are fine what gives?

Check your signal strength and S/N ratio on any problem channels:

The correct quote is...

If Rogers has the NASA Channel why doesn't Bell?
I've been asking for it for years.

It's fine here (Mississauga).

If Bell has Playhouse Disney, why doesn't Rogers?

Cable and Sat Operators are free to choose what they carry, except the mandated Cat 1 channels.

I'm visiting my parents this week (in Saint John, NB) and noticed that NASA channel is having those problems here too...

I guess my point was that the NASA TV feed is free for the provider. There is no licensing fee. It's a pure profit situation for the provider.
All they have to do is put up a dish and pull it in.
I'm sure there are lots of space enthusiasts who would love to get this.
I'd certainly pay a few bucks a month to have it.
With my luck, they'll probably offer it just as the last Shuttle mission launches at the end of 2010.
