hmm...then i wonder what's wrong with that channel for me...i also had that problem a long time ago...

its the only channel that i have audio issues with...

i'm using a hauppauge tuner on a boxee box....i'm not sure if its a signal strength issue as i don't think it is...

i'll play around with my antenna...

bummer still not working and changing positions on my antenna caused me to lose one channel (32.1)... but gained 35.5...

if i remember it correctly, i got this issue back when the 24.x channel and psip issues came about...

A few days ago I did a WinTv update to 7_cd_2.5d.exe and in that tv program I lost Chek HD completely it is fine in all other tv programs I use so if you did an update try a roll back see it that helps. Are you getting video on KBTC just no sound? Are you getting Audio and Video on other stations?

As of a few mins ago there is a power shut down for upgrades on the Orcas Island so that is happening now 10:02am
11:55am I see the station is back so the power must be on again.

I presume a re-scan didn't help?

I have had no issues on my end, mind you I have an ATSC tuner in my samsung.

That channel only has video for me and it was the same when i use my tv built in tuner...

As mentioned earlier, i remember this started when we lost the hd version of k24ic...

you should check what sound mode you are running on (MTS) when I accidently hit the button every now and again it mutes the sound for me on certain channels. That is the only thing I can think of I have had no issues at all.

On Tuesday, June 19th KBTC powered up a new transmitter on UHF channel 16.

Channel 16 is a low-power frequency that serves downtown seattle, the west and north sides of Seattle and surrounding communities.

what's MTS? i use my bbox with the tv tuner and connects to tv via hdmi...i don't see any setting to change audio on one channel only...since i'm getting this using my tv's built in turner i just assumed that there is something wrong with the channel...or my reception of it...

If your getting video then it is not reception.
Are you getting audio and video on other stations?

MTS is multi track sound some of the broadcasters offer different languages on different tracks such as (Qubo) on 33.2 Seattle offers English on track 1 Spanish on track 2 if you are set to track 2 and the channel is not using that track at all, you will not hear anything.

Interesting... Never knew that...not sure if there is a setting in the boxee box for that...


This is the only channel that does this...Both with the tuner and directly connected to the tv

Looks like your system is having problems grabing the ac3 audio rather than the mpeg2

I see KVOS 35.5 is off line this morning.

I just noticed KBTC-HD and the MHz World and TVW sub channels are back up on K24IC. ;)

That was a long wait for this day I'll say. I really enjoy the station so this make a good improvement for me.
