Was pleasantly surprised to have the DTA box automatically pick up 12-2, real channel 35.2, "The Cool TV" at about 8:10pm, Aug 18th. A music video station without having to subscribe to cable. And someone called it Farmervision? I call it pretty good. With a bit of knowledge, a decent antenna, and it's yours! I do hope that Canada can get to using sub-channels, as there is a real potential to increase the level of content for OTA.

Are you sure your TV doesn't have a "Add Digital Channel" function to let you add new digital channels without having to do a complete re-scan?

Amazing tropo tonight. Super strong signals from Seattle and Tacoma tonight. I'm even getting direct reception of KBTC on two channels: channel 27 from Tacoma and the Orcas repeater on channel 24.

because of your post I scanned the skies last night. My Channel Master 9521A rotator is glitching out, so I'm not positive on the directions but I came across 14.3-14.7 pointed at 190* apx. What channels are those? No picture or sound. Also, the tv finally found 35.4 (12.2 Cool tv).

Note: Antenna 360* about 18*E of "true N"

14.3 through 14.7 were probably KTBW. Had it detected the PSIP, they would have mapped to 20-1 through 20-5.

Sounds likely to be KTBW which is a faith-based station out of Bremerton.

All Music .. I stuck on the Back to the 80's at 8 but they play everything I haven't seen any newer stuff yet but I can do without it, web site says its all over USA ..

"For about the last 15 days or so KZJO has been operating at half power as we have a serious problem with JOE’s # 2 high power amplifier. The good news is we took delivery today of about 50K of spare parts and hope to figure out what ails Joe in the next several hours via process of elimination.

How reliable is KZJO for you, Laurie? On my TV Fool report it lists it as NM: -20.9dB, and Power: -111.8dBm. I've never received it, KCPQ 13, or K24IC 24 (28-1). I'm on the North Shore though.

Are you using a preamp with the 4228? Is it the original 4228 or the CM4228HD? And how long is your coaxial run? Thanks.

i'm in surrey and from time to time i get this channel...of course higher chances at night...this is without a preamp
