I still have a lower signal than KBTC repeaters out of Bellingham, which until a week or so ago KBCB was always my strongest signal out of Bellingham (or tied with KVOS which is still very strong).

S40 KBTC 24.1 was on half power for a while during that time but went back to full power but about a week or a lttle more they went back to full power.

No. KING has the exclusive around these parts, which means KBCB would have non-network duplication troubles on cable if they affiliated with NBC proper.

I know about KBTC repeater, I did not notice much change in power here when it came back. I did notice a much lower signal from KBCB after the addition of the subchannels-it also became more sensitive to where the antenna was sitting I see that moreDB above also noticed the same thing so it is not just me. It may be coincidence and that one of the buildings going up in Surrey is affecting my area, but it only affected that one station, everything else out of Bellingham is normal.

Today is a new day and KBCB and it's two sub channels are now back to 90-95% and are rock solid. All other channels remain the same. That was the first time I have had it drop in the whole time that they have been broadcasting on digital that I have noticed. Anyone have any information on the two sub channels programming yet?

I was watching KVOS tonight and it suddenly went dark.

I can still detect signal on KBCB, although I can't lock it consistently, but I can not get anything from KVOS. I have a 4228 in Pitt Meadows.

Is KVOS offline or is my problem more local?

As of 830 pm KVOS is fine in Coquitlam. KBCB is up to full strength here, as are all the Bellingham channels.

Here on the East side of Abbotsford I have suddenly tripped over a whack of new digital signals.

I was up on the roof anyway (trying to fix a leak) and decided that I would try something different with my stacked pair of ClearStream 4's. Without changing the vertical separation of the two units.

I decided to aim one toward 200 degrees and the other 320 degrees. The goal was to try and see if this wide array would give me a better KVOS lock then I had been getting (the original pair where stacked and pointed 300 degrees) without giving up to much of the Seymor transmitters.

The results are I pulling in my KVOS and bunch of other stuff... stuff I did not know where up on the dial and for that matter have no idea why they are transmitting. BTW, without giving up my good Seymor signals.

Can somebody tell me anything about:

KBCB-2 (just a test pattern) 24.2
KBCB-3 (KBCB Bellingham) 24.3
KBCB-4 (Audio Test tone only) 24.4
KBCB-5 (Audio Test tone only) 24.5
KBCB-6 (Audio Test tone only) 24.6

Also pulling in strong and clear:
KBTC-HD
MHZ-WLD (source?)
KBTC-3 (source?)

Is KBCB getting act as a local repeater and is setting up?

Kind of nice being able to pull in KBTC public broadcasting. Normally need some special weather for that to be usable signal.

24.2-24.6 -- programming to be determined. To my knowledge they haven't locked in the contracts.

I'm hearing rumors around town here in Bellingham that they might do a music video service on one of KBCB's multicast channels.

I will miss the floating bubbles but seriously I heard it will be very watchable is the info I was told as couple of weeks ago Do record the colour test pattern for future tv tuning :) before it too fades away.

I get KBCB shopping channel, and my meter says that .2 and .3 are still there, but the last couple of days they are blank and there is an off the air message from my tuner box. Any word if they are about to go on the air, or are they having difficulties?

The sub channels have all gone. One of my receivers delisted each channel after I selected it. That was short lived.

I was getting used to the bubbles and music with the KBCB ident. ;)

I am pretty sure they are up to some technical suff the 24.1 was put over to the anolog feed for awhile a couple of days ago which makes me think they were upgrading some thing on the digital side but after they went back to the digital feed shopping channel they other subs never did come back. I will try and get some info later today. I am glad I recorded the bubbles as it may never return. :)

If it's not too much trouble, would you consider posting the bubbles clip to YouTube?

I am not the youtube posting type and all the loops to get permision would be more than I am willing to chase.

I'm guessing completing the deals for the programming is taking longer than anticipated, so to stop the phone from ringing they let the channels go dark.

Anyone able tune kvos 12.1 35.1 I'm thinking it must be my tuner card acting up again. I had this problem with omni that magically fixed itself before

I scanned for more channels in Windows 7 Media Center and found KVOS-DT on channel 35.121.

Looks like KVOS is not being remapped to 12.1...if you rescan it shows up on 35.1.
