Hi everyone,

I'm using a PVR-1600 on Mythdora 10.21 in Toronto, Canada.

My TV can tune all 8 local stations, but the PVR-1600, can't. It does not see Global or Sun TV. They broadcast at 776 MHz and 782 MHz respectively.

The unamplified feed from the antenna is split to the TV and the PVR-1600. These stations should not require amplification from my location.

Now my question. Is the issue a sensitivity one (it the split signal is too weak for the PVR-1600) or are those two stations broadcasting out of the frequency range for the PVR-1600?

My impression of the HVR-1600 :

It is the least sensitive of my 10 ATSC devices and yet it is terrible in really strong (maybe noisy) signals at times. I actually had problem with CBC and CW at times. It consistently doesn't receive channels below certain SNR yet the great 19" Magnavox with ATSC tuner next to my computer monitor never skips a beat.

Who makes a "PVR-1600", and what exactly is it?

I know about (and have) the "HVR-1600" PCI dual-tuner card, but have never before heard of a PVR-1600.
