: I wonder what they did to our PVR's today

Has anybody else notice that this morning before 8:00, we couldn't get our PVR to post a picture on TV? I thought it might've been a faulty PVR but both of them had the same result. Once at work, I asked someone that I know that has a PVR and sure enough , his was also affected. So it wasn't just me in Lincoln but my friend on the northside as well. I thought it might've been the caller id thingy that they are rolling out in Ontario but I see nothing that indicates what has change if anything has changed.

Anybody in the know, anybody? :o

I'm in Mississauga, Ontario, where we're supposed to get that caller ID service tomorrow. This morning I had my SD set on at 8:00 AM and it worked fine through the PVR. I didn't try my HD set though.

Happened to all of mine today as well. Hard a hard time getting them to come back on line to. Would love to know what they were up to.

Where are you located? Perhaps it depends on location.

Had a problem with my 6416 this morning. Talked to the local Rogers Plus location who said they had received 6-7 similar calls from others, mainly customers who owned their terminal. A co-worker had the problem as well.

JamesK This is the Atlantic Canada Forum. Rogers uses Motorola equipment and totally different head ends there. Almost like a different cable company from what we have in Ontario.

As for TV Call Display, it may not be coming to Atlantic Canada:

The service is not being made available to Rogers customers in Atlantic Canada.

It is possible they're getting ready to roll out the new firmware for eHDD (and other stuff) that Shaw rolled out recently...

I guess I had miss that bit about us not getting it, as per normal. It would've been so usefull. Once again, the maritimes are left in the dark ages...:(

Maybe our box will send a signal like Batman! :o
I thought Comcast has the caller id and don't they use motorola boxes as well?

They had some kind of outage with these boxes, yeah. We rent ours and when we called they said it was some kind of problem. I don' tknow what exactly, but it was fixed a few hours later.

Those boxes just don't have a problem unless you send an update or something. There is something fishy around here...:o
