Permanent Red dots...

Just picked up the g15 two days ago and have been breaking it in by turning the contrast, brightness, etc down below 50 on Standard Mode and pretty much leaving it on 24/7 in full screen HD. Question is - Why am I getting several (7 ors so) little Red dots/squares permanately scattered on my screen? I tried turning the set off for awhile, went from HDMI to component and used the AIR rolling bar with no luck. Should I be returning the set or is this normal? Will it eventually go away? Thanks in advance!

Try unplugging the TV overnight to see if a reset helps. Here's a list of things to check:

Eliminated the cable box, splitter and tried a different cable with no luck...I guess if unplugging it for the night doesn't work its going back.

yup they were dead pixels. no sign of any in the replacement... man the G15 is a sweet unit!!

Why are you leaving it on for 24/7? to "Break it in"? I never heard such a thing. Why do you have to break them in?
