The overflow channels are labelled BIG101, Big 102 etc. and you'll find them at Channel 440 through 444. Games on overflow channels will be available in Standard Definition only.

Looking for High Definition? Big Ten HD (channel 265) will carry games in HD and we've added an overflow channel (445) as well. That means even more games will be available in HD.

Wow, we all wanted to see Youngstown State get pounded at Ohio Stadium. Thanks Shaw Direct.

I'm guessing that you don't get the games unless you subscribe to Big Ten Network SD? I get Big Ten Network HD as part of HD Sports, but I don't get Big Ten SD.

I doubt I'll be watching many of these games anyway. The main BTN early game, ACC syndicated game (on TV38) and SEC syndicated game (on Peachtree TV) are better matchups anyway.

Agreed, this is useless. This is the games that are syndicated on ESPN Plus in the US. Effectively the fifth, sixth, seventh... choices of games from the Conference. The channels will only be full when the Big Ten teams each pay creampuffs to come in and lose in September. Whomever can watch that action and believe it to be legitimate matchups deserves those channels.

this is great!!
if you are a fan of a specific big ten team, you need this.
also there are overflows come big ten season too and for a couple weeks in the season, the btn gets the 2nd choice of games over espn after abc makes their selection.
great job by shaw direct!!

now if they could only add a ppv package for the college games so we could get the espn/2 games, then we'd be all set.

That would be cool if they were to offer the college games from espn/espn2 as an addon sports pack like Bell TV does. But heck we don't even get the ScoreHD yet... It's a shame as they will have two college games on tomorrow night, as well as games most Thursday nights:

The one week free preview is somewhat bogus, there is only the one day broadcast on the overflow channels. The next broadcast is on September 12, week is over on the 11th.:(

Additionally, some customers (myself included) could not even get the broadcasts, even tech support had no idea on how to help or what was wrong.:(

apparently oct 3rd noon, msu vs um in east lansing has been picked by the btn. so a pretty big game. i think this has to be one of the 2 weeks that the btn used it's 2nd pick to nab this game away from espn/2.

I'm half surprised that ABC didn't select it, if Michigan is still undefeated then it will be a big game.
