@ota_canuck: don't know if you remember me, I bought an antenna from you last year - here in Selkirk (about 30 km west of Dunnville), I've been picking up City on 31.1 (digital) for about the last hour... My antennas aren't even pointed at Toronto right now (Buffalo & Erie) but I'm getting 60% on my HD homeruns, a very watchable channel right now.

Concurred with Dunnle above: CITY-DT 31 Woodstock is on air, 1080i, and with a very good signal into Kitchener.

Aha! Didn't even realize 31 was out of Woodstock, I suppose that solves the mystery of why I was picking it up without pointing at Toronto, but introduces a new mystery - why I'm picking it up without pointing at Woodstock (lol). Must be coming on on the side of my Buffalo antenna or the back of my Erie antenna.

Me too. I wondered why I had been receiving 31 as well. Side of Buffalo, Erie, Hamilton antenna (I guess).

Have reflectors on the backside of each.

52 appears to be gone. I had 35 earlier and now it's gone.

So I've still got 5, 25, 47, 57 and 69.

I think there must be some sort of work going on on the OMNI's. Prior scans had no re-map, but I just now ran a re-scan to get the newly moved CITS-DT and both OMNI-1 and OMNI-2 are remapped to their "traditional" channel numbers.

Prior to today:
OMNI-1
RF 64 -> PSIP remap -> 64.1
OMNI-2
RF 44 -> PSIP remap -> 44.1

Today
OMNI-1
RF 64 -> PSIP remap -> 47.1
OMNI-2
RF 44 -> PSIP remap -> 69.1

Maybe they're doing the PSIP work now and will cutover at around midnight?

This is indeed promising - the channel 51.1 conflict in Toronto may be avoided. There was a lot of talk about this earlier in the thread. Post 193 seemed to indicate there was going to be bad news.

On RF44 City's currently giving me:
100% Signal Strength
38-49% Signal Quality
Wild fluctuations of 0% to 100% Symbol Quality.

Lots of pixelation. Hope this isn't it...hope they just firing it up. :eek:

WOW!! First time I got City-TV from this location. 44 remapping to 57-1. About time!!!

If ION is 23 remapping to 51 then Omni 2 should be where? Probably another complete rescan?
