Hello,

My condo (North York, Toronto) was upgraded to VDSL HD. They are offering 50% off internet / TV packages, no contract, and a free PVR while I have the service.

The 2 packages I am considering are:

$65.00 for 5 themes plus 16MB/s internet reg. price is $130
$75.00 for 6 themes, Movies package, plus 16MB/s internet reg. price is $150

Has anyone signed up for this yet? How is the picture quality / internet speed?
I also heard they don't offer CNN yet, or NFL Sunday ticket.. I heard they are working on getting CNN, but no word on NFL Sunday ticket package..

Thanks..

As far as I know there is no such animal as VDSL HD, there is not even a PVR for VDSL.

I think you will find that they have just installed a pair of Dish's on the Roof and you are now on a Backbone system capable of supplying you with HD.

Picture Quality should be exactly the same as a regular Bell set up as it uses the exact same receivers.

maybe I have my terminology wrong..sorry.

But my building has always been wired for Bell, but it was all non-HD content.

They have upgraded the connection to my building (fibre optic connection, which I thought was known as VDSL).

brocksolid, it sounds like you can get the new Bell IPTV service using VDSL2. There are a couple of threads on Bell IPTV in this forum:

Here are a couple of Bell links you may find interesting:

If it is iPTV, it will be the first building done using that technology for a long time.

Most likely a Stacked Nimiq 2 Installation.

If it is a IPTV building the product is not offered by Bell TV but by Bell Home Entertainment. (two different lines of buisness)
