Just as a side note on the DIR-655.

I have one, and had no real issues with it, except one.

When trying to connect to my corporate network with our SSL VPN via WSAM, it wouldn't work. It only worked via Network Connect.

Now... IF this is an issue for you, it can probably be fixed, but I couldn't find anything on how to do it, and I'm a sales guy... not a techie.

Oddly... Linksys (by Cisco) connects fine to our SSL VPN (Juniper) using WSAM or Network Connect.

Hello
It has been many years since I bought my last linksys wireless G router. it works great.

I have to get a new router for a family member, and I have been reviewing some of the new wireless N routers.

After reading some reviews on some of the linksys and D link routers, I have noticed that they almost exclusively have very bad reviews. does anyone have a decent sub $100 wireless N router that they would recommend?

I have a netgear wnr2000. Very easy to setup and has great range on N. I paid around $50 at BestBuy

My Airport Express works like a charm, has an audio line output too (play your iTunes music)

Not sure about the WNR2000, but I know my Netgear WNR3700 is rock solid (and fast).

I will agree that Netgear routers are fairly easy to set up and secure.

+1 on D-link DIR-655. I have 2 of them for 150- 300 MBps coverage on both sides of my house.

I have a Linksys WRT610N at home and love the dual band wireless. It's on the pricey side though.
