I didn't spot any remapping problem with WETK-DT, everything still re-maps to 33.x

I actually would prefer this re-maping nonsense would stop.

Also, this past week or so, I've been getting WNPI-DT 23 (remap 18.x) coming in very strong between approx. 11pm - 9am. then the signal drops too low to lock.

WNPI already request to raised their ERP, I don't see why they would have ask for it if it's not to use it.

Sorry, I meant WCWF.

Mine is remapped all funny like mentioned above. Samsung TV. Samsung ATSC chipsets are becoming well known for having some problems with PSIP data:

http://www.digitalhome.ca/forum/showthread.php?t=41507

If the station has been working on their PSIP data or changing their data streams in any way it would explain the remapping issues for some people.

Looking at the following (http://fjallfoss.fcc.gov/cgi-bin/ws.exe/prod/cdbs/forms/prod/cdbsmenu.hts?context=25&appn=101312890&formid=314&fac_num=20588) it seem WCWF and WGMU (Along with all it's transmiter) is now own (Indirectly?) by the same company. So I guess they have some project.

I have a Tivax converter box. Last night, WETK-DT 32 (33.1) was displaying the remaps as (32.4 - 32.7). On my Sharp TV, everything was still appearing as (33.1 - 33.4).

I will e-mail Vermont PBS about the re-maps problems. Either stop it, or get the bugs out.

It might have a Samsung chipset in it, which are having problems with certain PSIP data:

Hi All,

I have been using HD OTA for 6 months, but I can't seem to get 33.1(32) to display properly. All I get is a weak signal and pixel. It does come in nicely early in the morning or late at night ? From Mt Mansfield, I get NBC 76%, CBS 69%, WCFE 45%. No luck for ABC or Fox. I am in the east of Laval (St-Francois). His their signal weaker ? I was able to get the old analog 33.

Thanks,

I am moving to Montreal and will try to pick up HDTV channels using an antenna. How will Montreal perform in terms of picking up these channels?

Thanks.

I would say suburban/fringe.

80 miles is usually quite far, but the transmitters on Mt. Mansfield are quite high at 4300 feet (Mt. Royal is 800 feet) relatively to other stations in the U.S.

On a clear dry day we can see Mt. Mansfield.

james2232, do you already know which specific part of the Montreal area you will be moving to? OTA is very location-specific.

Can somebody confirm if WCAX-Dt (3.2) is coming in a 4x3 anamorphic. Since last night, it has been this way.

For those who were not able to catch SRC or CBC, you should try it today as I noticed their signal has doubled in the last 2 days. Was getting 30-37 for CBC and 37-42 for SRC, but now it is over 60-82 for both. Have they moved to Mount-Royal ?

Does anyone have news about WCWF?

I checked this morning Fybush.com, google and the same old news.

I know that they should be RTN affiliate.

Don't know if they are On The Air.

Posted today on the FCC web site.

DUE TO CIRCUMSTANCES BEYOND THE LICENSEE'S CONTROL, THE COMPLETION OF WCWF(TV)S FINAL DTV FACILITIES HAS BEEN UNAVOIDABLY DELAYED.
