Here in Vaudreuil Global is currently locked at 2 bars. HD picture and sound, however today propagation is very good and all channels come in much stronger than usual so 2 bars is extremely low. Hopefully this is not full power.

Receiving CKMI-DT 15.1. About 49% on my Sharp.

Also like the idea that they are not re-mapping to their old analog channel number. This helps cut down on the confusion some people have about what station is really on what channel. They even had a spot on the air indicating that their new channel number is 15.

In pincourt, last night, 10pm, I lost 6.1 but it seems to move to 4.1 and program changed to CBCNEWS, the morning, 6.1 comes back and 4.1 missed, the program are still CBCNEWS.
I also got TVO at 24.1 and the morning it's gone.
I tried to scan 15.1 in the morning, get nothing, is it on the air?

I tried to scan this morning but didn't get 15.1. However when I manually entered 15.1, then the station popped up.

Seems to be a common issue with Global installs. Here in Ottawa many are complaining of the same issue. Two of my televisions will not pick up Global with an autoscan, although it is a very strong signal. A manual add of the station works in both cases. I am sure Global will fix this PSIP issue soon, perhaps something their techs missed in their training courses last month!

Yes! This is an issue that also occurs on 6.1 CIII-DT in Ottawa. When I scan, the channel doesn't actually get included in the total count of digital channels found, but it *does* actually find it and add 6.1 to the channel lineup.

Successfully picking up Global-Montreal on 15.1 here in NDG. Coming in at about 82%, stronger than CBC-Montreal at the moment!

Still waiting for CFCF and all the rest of the local channels to improve, which either I don't get at all, or extremely weak.

On a note of interest, CBC-Montreal is faintly coming through (no audio) on analog ch-52, the old position for WBVT52 in St. Albans. For a few minutes I thought they signed back on the air, until I saw some Canadian TV ads.

Where exactly is 51 (12.1) transmitting from? I live in Westmount, I point my antenna towards the mountain and reception is atrocious. 6.1 and 12.1 come in fine.

Here in Vaudreuil 15.1 Global is completely gone. I scan, enter manually, nada. Yesterday it was coming in at 1 - 2 bars, today nothing. I repositioned the antenna. Now it locks in Radio Canada 2.1 at 1 bar, before it wasn't, 6.1, 12.1, 17.1 are coming in strong, but 15.1 nothing.
CFCF 12.1 is not on main tower yet, but it will be September 1.

Soupdragon, 12.1, 17.1 are not on the main tower yet. You might have to reposition your antenna to get them. 2.1 is weak because it is on the east side of the tower on secondary antenna. 6.1 is also on secondary antenna but on west side. They will be both on main antennas September 1. Fox 44.1 is the weakest of UHF US stations, but if you tweak your antenna for Mount Mansfield and concentrate on 44.1 you should get it. For WVNY 22.1 try to hookup just VHF antenna without UHF and see if the signal will improve. Tweak the antenna for best results. Since you are getting signal from time to time I would try to add an amplifier. CM preamp is expensive, but I would try the GE from CTire. It's cheap, you can return it if it doesn't work and it might be all you need to lock the signal.

Northbear, you are my reference point since you are near me. Do you get 15.1?

I input 15.1, but my sony tv doesn't allow me to do it. You must do scan to get digital channel. So I didn't get 15.1.

I had the signal on 17 August when Global switched on digital at 1 to 3 bars, but yesterday it was gone. Maybe for some reasoned they reduced power.

I'm in Vaudreuil too (close to Rigaud) and I have no problem getting Global. Even if my antenna pointing between Montréal and Mansfield. It's the strongest after 6.1.

Passepoil, what equipment (antenna, amplifier) are you using and what is your current channel lineup?
CBC 6.1 I receive with constant 8 bars (80%), same with Tele-Quebec 17.1, CTV 12.1 4 bars, SRC 2.1 1 bar, all US stations, except WVNY, from 3 to 7 bars, but no Global.
Tomorrow I will open up the antenna and point it between US and Montreal, but I think last time I did this I lost 57.1, 12.1 and 17.1.
