You know what is funny, the signal was WORKING when it was 51-1 LOL. CTV is all pixlated and audio dropping again as of last night.
@mille
It's dead again as of last night, pixelated lines, audio dropping every 5 seconds. Still good singal between 70% and 80% here.
Just checked it right now, for Canada AM 8AM, unwatchable. Audio dropping, pixlated lines all over the place. SIGH. At least they aren't showing hockey, cuz I'd throw a rock at my tv.
You can e-mail your issues form here, include your signal strength and location to help out the engineers.

dorthensensens 2011-04-21, 08:21 AM Mine is the same yuprules. cfcf very pixelated and unwatchable. Was black last night so I guess its "better" than before.
mille 2011-04-21, 08:55 AM everything perfect before i quit to the job ( before 8 )
seem to be a real rollercoaster issue
did they bought a cheap transmitter very fast to put the digital signal on air before the superbowl ?
ota2335 2011-04-21, 09:13 AM From web site of FOX44
Some of our Fox44 viewers are currently without a signal.
The Fox44 transmitter is down and engineers are working to fix the problem.
As a result, the signal cannot be seen on DirecTV, Dish, Charter, Time Warner and over the air.
We will update you as soon as information becomes available.
We are sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience

I don't think it is the transmitter of CTV, I am getting the same signal I got before...it's strong.
I think it's the DATA...or something corrupted in the CTV HD signal. My TV decodes it enough, but as we are all seeing, the audio cuts and there are tons of horizontal lines across the screen every 5 seconds making it unwatchable.
I tried my computer, oh my gosh...my computer can't decode the CTV HD signal, it shows me 1 frame every 5-6 seconds LOL! Even worse than the TV.
kool_105 2011-04-21, 12:44 PM CFCF currently working perfect here but it is again mapped to 51.1.
roger1818 2011-04-21, 01:11 PM Sounds to me like CFCF is having issues with their PSIP generator. When they take it offline, everything works fine, but as soon as they connect it back up, the broadcast gets corrupted.
schoenbe 2011-04-21, 01:56 PM FOX's signal is back again, abeit at slightly lower levels than before.
Blackburst 2011-04-21, 02:30 PM On the WFFF site their is a note about WCAX providing WFFF with the ability to get back on the air. Could somebody check to see what the RF channel is for WFFF. Is it 22 or 43?
I remember WCAX had provided WCFE with one of it's sub-channels when WCFE's transmitter tower had collapsed several years ago.
So basically, what I'm asking is. Is the current signal for WFFF a sub-channel of WCAX? Only way to know is to check the RF channel it's on.
I'm not had home right now. So, I can't check it.
dorthensensens 2011-04-21, 02:37 PM I just checked my setup and wfff is still on 43 for me.
mille 2011-04-21, 03:26 PM from WFFF web site :
At this time, Fox44 is back to full power.
Engineers say that a large piece of ice fell off a tower and smashed through our bridge, which protects our transmission lines, on Mount Mansfield. When the ice broke through the bridge, it hit our transmission lines, damaging one. This is the reason we lost signal Wednesday night.
In the interim, we have connected to a temporary antenna (thanks WCAX!).
This problem has not been fixed permanently; it will take several weeks until the arctic weather on Mt. Mansfield eases.
We are sorry for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience.
kool_105 2011-04-21, 03:42 PM Good to See fox44 Back on air. it is actually higher signal than I've had before.
kool_105 2011-04-21, 04:01 PM CFCF is Black Screen again on 51.1 maybe they are working on something?
Yuprules 2011-04-21, 04:44 PM kool_105: I got an e-mail from CTV saying there is a problem with their temporary transmitter and they are working on the problem.
Nice to see they actually answered my e-mail. Looks like everyone is having problems, FOX, CTV :)
Apple IIGS 2011-04-21, 05:56 PM FOX 44.1/44.2 are back here too, and interestingly, now I can't get CBC 6.1 again (at least not without ease).
Looks like FOX creates some interference with CBC, though hopefully that'll change if they ever turn on the Mount Royal antenna. The way things are moving, I'm starting to think it'll stay off until September 2011.
From kool_105 : Good to See fox44 Back on air. it is actually higher signal than I've had before.
I suppose the WCAX antenna has a different pattern. That may explain why the signal is better in Montreal. It may not be the same elsewhere.
Yuprules 2011-04-22, 10:13 AM Now I've lost CTV HD CFCF-DT over the air, no signal at all. Anyone else?
kool_105 2011-04-22, 10:39 AM Now I've lost CTV HD CFCF-DT over the air, no signal at all. Anyone else?
I Have Signal, but no picture Black Screen
dorthensensens 2011-04-22, 11:18 AM I'm the same. I have signal but a black screen.
schoenbe 2011-04-22, 11:24 AM CFCF-DT ch51 locked at 85% signal strength, showing ~13.2 Mbps on main PID (0x0031), but unable to detect any transport streams. Therefore no video nor audio.
