The snow we received made a mess of my dish. Had to go out and clean it off just after midnight. Sun's operations could have been affected as well.

News re:WPXD and their CP to move to the old WKBD antenna...

At this time there are no updates regarding the channel change for WPXD.

Kind of disappointing to say the least.

I was hoping WPXD would be online in Detroit around the end of summer to coincide with the Canada DTV transition. Oh well, still gonna have to rely on tropo for Akron's ION station.

Looks as if WADL has launched another subchannel. Appears to be religious programming. Can't remember the name of the station off hand though (dont have the TV on in front of me)

38.3 is THE WORD, which is owned by Adell. The network used to be on 38.2 until dropped for Universal Sports.

W47DL-D, TBN Detroit, is it off air for anyone else since the lighting storm a few nights back? Normally I get 11 of 12 bars on that station.

Did anyone notice that WADL Detroit has added a 3rd channel 38.3 with the Word Network.Hopefully it means that eventually 38.1 might become a 24/7 classic tv channel. Also I noticed on the work tv in Lakeshore that 24.3 is being shutdown by WNWO toledo, and WEWS 5.1 Cleveland has been coming in sporadically there also.Probably tropo???

Doesn't look as if there will be any changes, as the sub added is a station they had before and there was no programming changes to the main WADL station.

Another sub with classic TV shows, etc coming to Cleveland on WOIO 19-3?

http://www.rabbitears.info/search.php?request=network_search&network=MeTV

Guess they want to compete with WJW's AntennaTV sub.

It's a shame that both these subs are on super weak VHF stations. WOIO rf10 is terrible here with their directional antenna (about 0.98kW watts towards me) to get without excessive dropouts from electrical noise, lightning and co channel.

Can't imagine how bad 19-1 CBS-hd will look after this eats even more bits. WOIO blocks up pretty terrible as it is already.

I suspect that MeTV may replace the weather on 19-2, but without confirmation, I'm listing it as a separate subchannel for the time being.

I was just informed that Channel 42 is off because of tech problems. They are trying to source a part for it.

WDWO 18 has a construction permit to move their tower to Southfield and decrease power to 14kW but increase the height about 500 feet. Reception should improve in the entire region except perhaps the southern fringes.

Will be interesting to see what happens when it moves to Southfield. WDWO comes in well for me as is.

As for CKCO-TV-3, maybe this will expidite a digital conversion.

??? Guess they really wanted to get it back up for the election results tonight. Channel is operating normally upon checking it a few mins ago.

Did CKCO-TV-3 do any local coverage, or was it just the CKCO feed?

It is just a repeater of CKCO. There is no local content.

Per Wiki it does...Currently, CKCO-TV-3 produces a very limited amount of alternate local programming for the Sarnia area.

CKCO-TV-2 is slated to be shut down on or before August 31, 2009.[2] CKCO-TV-3 is scheduled to cease producing distinct local programming at the same time, but is expected to continue operations as a rebroadcaster.[3] Both actions are pending CRTC approvalhttp://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/CKCO-TV

Sounds like that Wiki page is out of date since still says that CKCO-TV-2 was to be shut down back in 2009 (an idle threat by CTVgm that never came to fruition).

They had a small Windsor news bureau years ago, which was welcomed when the CBC temporarily abandoned the population, after which CHWI channel 16 started broadcasiting with their own local news, after whjch CBC returned.

This left the market coverage to rich for CKCO local coverage to be viable and they in turn called in their local coverage.
