Yep...31 CITY Woodstock is gone...

CITY is back this evening.. was gone for a large portion of the day.

WXYZ 7.3 is currently showing colour bars instead of weather/radar.

Rumour has it that it's gone for good, to be replaced by a mobile TV service.

I didn't watch it often, but it was convenient.

I am out of town right now so can't look but that would suck, I watch it daily as OTA is my only source for tv.

Now 7.3 is gone completely as was to be expexted.

Nope, not at all. One has to wonder if they have totally bit the dust or if they will still try to carry through with launching their -LD station.

If you look at the FCC's website their is an application for an STA to go silent. It appears they are having financial difficulties and have gone dark, likely until they can sell it.

CH8 CKNX has been broadcasting colour bars (no tone just static for audio) all day long today. I believe this station is a repeater for CH10 in London.

Yep...that's not a good sign for CKNX. London channel 10 seems fine...

Probably a microwave link went down or a bill wasn't paid(?) but to me the fact that the transmitter is still running is a sign that this is not intentional or else they'd have just submitted an urgent CRTC application to shut it down.

It wouldn't hurt to call CFPL to let them know that you noticed. Otherwise, they could say "Well, CKNX was off the air for three weeks and no one called to complain, so we'd like to shut it down"

Their psip appears to be slightly broken again. This happens every so often. I get 21-1,2 now with no call letters and no program data. Another tuner fairs slightly better and 20-2 also is displayed on it with nothing.

Ya same here with the PSIP on my Samsung TV, but the cheap-o RCA tuner didn't break...

I was just down resetting my father's setup in Leamington, and on my brother's LG it came up 21-1 WMYD, and 21-2 WMYD
on channel 21-2 a little speaker came up on the screen but no sound.
On the Channel Master television converter I have hooked to an older CRT television it just comes up 21-1 and 21-1.
Then here in London on my Samsung it just displays 21-1 and 21-2.

Mine show up as 20.1 and 21.2, but that's doing a digital add and 20.1 was already mapped.

What's going on with 7.2? Sometimes they're taking the RTV shows, shrinking them into the corner and surrounding it with weather. I hope it's just temporary promotion for wxyz mobile. It says to leave comments on wxyz.com but I see no place or comments. RTV 7.2 is my most watched station
