Still no luck with any of my 4 tuners. Anybody able to get CIVT-DT OTA?
For me it is simple one HD and no additional SD or HD and a SD also heck hands down I go for the HD and SD combo everytime. They are doing some work up there as stated to me by the Senior Engineer last week so I think there is some good changes coming.
What are they doing "up there"? Are they still transmitting from Mt. Seymour? CIVT-DT has already dialed down bitrate from 17.4mbps to 17.0mbps just before the Olympics. If they are going to squeeze an SD channel in there, I can't see how there could be a good change coming.

With all the activity going on I have had it on CTV all morning and have been scanning every few mins and there are changes with every scan but I still get it on one of the scanned entrys

Whatever they've been doing, it's a complete mess-up for me (and most likely others as well). Just after my previous post, CIVT-DT showed up as 33.2 with strong signal as always. I didn't even do any rescan. All I did was switching the TV source from my Shaw DVR to built-in ATSC tuner and I swear it did not work when I did the same just before my previous post. And just as I finish typing the last sentence right now, CIVT-DT goes blank again. Press the Info button and it shows 32.1 not 33.2 and I didn't even switch channel. No more 33.2 on my channel list.

While my Samsung's TV tuner and PC TV tuners still don't show video/audio streams of CIVT-DT, I just tried using a different program BlazeDTV to run my PC tuners. Interesting enough, this one is able to stream CIVT-DT without even a rescan. The channel properties window shows CIVT-DT with incomplete information though. It's missing "ServceType=DTV", and "free_CA_mode=Y". This is not the first time CIVT-DT messed up with bad stream info. When they first transmitted OTA back in 2008 the stream info mistakenly indicated resolution to be 1440x1080i. That screwed up some TVs including mine that properly respond to all stream info. Some forum member here emailed CTV and they fixed the problem for all of us. I emailed CTV and hope they fix this one quick also.

I had to watch the analog channel last night - it felt like a big step backwards :)

After doing a channel scan, I see a very good signal on 32-1 I have been seeing in the past but it is black. No sound. But to my surprise, I see CTV HD now on channel 32-2, the signal is a bit weak (around 70%) but it works! Don't know what's going on!

Further to our conversation. You should be getting the proper channel
designation for 32-1 now. There is no program guide3 yet it will be
coming back online tomorrow It will be changing to the new service in
the morning. I am sorry for the inconvenience in our remapping.

Don't know if CTV have finished their upgrades yet, but I re-scanned the OTA channels on my TV around noon and cannot get CIVT-DT. The channel is there but the TV doesn't show any picture.
Anybody else having problems?

CTV 32.1 coming in here perfectly at 12:45.

It is 215pm and both my computer tv card and samsung tv are both getting 33.1 remapping to 32 and they each have been problem free all day today well for me since they fixed it Monday past.

Just checked again and re-scanned both my Samsung TV and Channel Master PVR.
The PVR had CIVT-DT as both 32.1 and 71.1. After re-scanning, had two 32.1, one of which worked. Signal reported at about 90. After re-scanning the TV, it just comes up with 32.1 CIVT-HD and stays like that. Still no picture.

Just checked again about 4pm and my TV now works OK on CIVT-DT without re-scanning. I suspect CTV has tweaked something.

CTV HD is working like is should. I'm confused about it being full HD though. When I press info., the TV says 1440 by 1080. Shouldn't it be 1920 by 1080? And yes, my TV used to show full HD before CTV tweaked their transmitter. Also, their time is wrong. It's off by an hour.

My TV (Samsung LNT-4061F from 2008) and my 3 different PC tuners are able to pick up the change automatically (no rescan required). However, like back in 2008, CTV mistakenly set the resolution flag of the stream to 1440x1080i which results in my TV shifting the image to the left and filling the right side of the screeen with green pixels (exactly like it did back in 2008). I emailed CTV and hopefully they'll fix the stream info promptly like they did back in 2008.

Hello ChrisChu. They did fix it promptly once again! It is 1920 x 1080! I checked it in the morning. Thanks to you! :D
I'm in South Van and still in the dark for CTV HD 32.1. The signal strength is around 46.

mkc1, what are you watching it on and have you tried a few rescans?
I'm using a channel master clone and have very good reception prior to this. Tried to rescan a few times but not able to pick up CTV 32.1 at all, only the analog channel 32.0. Not sure what is going on?

Affer a fresh scan, my downstairs Sony TV (KDL-32XBR4) behaves as expected and remaps CIVT-DT to 32.1.
After a fresh scan, my upstairs Sony TV (KDL-40Z4100) lists both of 32.1 and 33.1, and shows CIVT-DT on 33.1 while 32.1 is black and silent.
Both are on a small outdoor UHF antenna aimed at Mt Seymour.
