I was sent updates by several great OTA Forum members but my PM box overflowed and I lost them - my humble apologies!!!

Please help me update the original list by adding any changes that need to be done. Post in this thread, not in a PM.

It is very helpful if you submit such changes in the same format as shown in the original post.

cheers! :)

You are seeing all of those regularly in Richmond? I notice their signals when I do scans (most are just snow) only because I know they are supposed to be there.

No, not all of them. I can only see CHAN-6 regularly here, however a very snowy CBUT-2 manages to come in here if I'm lucky.

A few weeks ago when I was in my friend's apartment in Burnaby, I was able to pick up a snowy CBUFT-6 and possibly K62FS using his CM4221. I would suspect the Bowen Island transmitters would be viewable in West Vancouver, West Point Grey and Kits.

Was / is a fator alright although I will not go into that here as I have only 2nd hand info trusted but still 2nd hand and the CRTC said that the multiculturism unfairly comepeted with Canadain stations.

What's up w/ Chan. 23 (global) not being available in Nanaimo anymore? It was the only one coming in crystal clear.

The Canadian coverage is far superior to the US, unless you prefer reporters verbal diarrhea and lots of commercials.

Has anyone noticed if the CBC HD transmitter has been giving trouble the past few days? My signal strength has dropped from high 80s-high 90s down to as low as 50s. Global and CITV are unchanged.

CBC HD here is still 100%.

My reception of CBC HD is still quite good, but I noticed when watching Being Erica last Wednesday night, there were periodic clicks and pops in the sound. I wondered if maybe my amplified antenna was occasionally cutting out, but I have only experienced this on CBC, never on Global or CTV.

I echo queerasmoi: my CBC reception has had the odd digital glitch of late. Watching the National tonight I saw Krista Ericsson drop a few words due to the transmission.

I only receive 2 channels. CBC and Global. bare in mind that i just have a little plastic OTA HD antenna that i bought on monoprice for like 30$. CBC is at 737mhz and global is at 521mhz... cbc comes in very strong but global goes up and down like crazy and u get some pixelation.. are there other channels i should be getting>?

Just a quick bump regarding CIVT's power increase - my results at home and the online info indicate the ERP has not yet changed to match the CRTC's new level. Does anyone have any information on why the delay, or when they plan to implement the increase? Is the economy holding them back, or are there other reasons? Thanks in advance, LH.

I've noticed an improvement on signal here. Actually more relaible than 8.1. 2.1 is still the most consistent.

Antenna update. A 4228hd (new and improved?), pre-amp, and rotor is on order, so in about a month I should have some real news to report, signal wise, from 60 miles away.

I have also noticed an improvement in CIVT's signal. I can now receive it on an consistent basis. I have made no changes to my antenna set-up.

levibluewa, make sure to read through this thread on how to hot rod your new CM4228HD before you put it up! ;)

Has CTV actually bumped their power output or is the improved signal just due to weather conditions?
