2.1 is coming in here ok at the moment. However, noticed the other day the signal would fluctuate from 68 down to 40s, with momentary signal loss. The wind was calm so it wasn't the antenna. Read in one of these forums, but can't remember...someone mentioning modulation fluctuations, or...some glitch where the signal being sent out has errors! I think thats what I read? or maybe its the drugs :)

Has Global dropped out for anyone else? For me it's been gone for at least a day now.

I'm now managing to pull in CIVT-DT at about 35%. I've changed nothing with my antenna setup and this is the first time I've ever been able to get a "lock" on the channel. Has CTV changed their ERP or is this just skip? I live in Victoria.

I just checked Industry Canada's latest listings and there has been no ERP change for CIVT-DT. You must have gotten lucky with some atmospheric quirks ;)

CBCHD signal intermittent. Trying to watch opening ceremonies of the Olympics and signal is in the dumpster, 32-35, normally 70. Anyone else notice HD signal loss? SD-analog is ok :(

Two observations:
CBC HD during the Opening Ceremonies is loud and clear here but with pixellation and other motion artifacts usually not seen on HNIC or other CBC sports
Sarah Brightman does not seem to age. ;)

Signal is now fairly constant. It goes from a 70 to 35...like there is a modulation problem from the source, however, if it is not occurring where you are, then I can only surmise that it is atmospheric.

Bad timing!

Real bad timing. I just called CBC (604-662-6000) and reported the problem. Anyone else in the same boat...strong signal no picture, no sound...should probably give CBC a call and let them know.

WHERE RU LOCATED? I'm wondering if the US is jamming CBCs signal, so we'll be forced to watch NBC :(

I live in victoria and am getting a stronger then normal signal (80%) but no pic, sound, or program info.

about 5 times this afternoon. Appreciate the feedback from all of you. You know how we often think its "just me"!!! Anyway, the receptionist I just spoke with indicated that they are aware of the problem and working on it. It is evidently a problem with Ottawa and Vancouver.

I hope that receptionist wasn't schooled in the States, because when I'm told by an American that they're aware of the problem and working on it, images of George Bush and Hurricane Katrina come to mind :(

CBC HD is back for me with picture and sound at 3:57 PM. signal has dropped a bit but is now holding steady at about 60%.

I have the same signal and quality for me it has been okay today.

Signal is back here too. Not as high as it should be...now reading about 62-67%, not the 76% that is the norm, but at least we have it.
