Thought today was the day CHAN 8 was suppose to have a digital signal. I'm wearing out my "scan" function on the tv :)

Anybody have any info? I thought we had a report of 10 days - 11 days ago? I'm like a kid a Christmas. If I could peek at my present, I would.

10 days till sign on time...well in real time can be sooo sooo much longer remember 19.1 took months to fire up and then there was kvos it was a month then another month and then out of the blue signal and boom programing and tuning then programing so 10 days till hot in our time real time that means for us ??? But am sure it means soonnnn now :p

8:42pm I have just started seeing the signal no locks yet but it is going up and up then off and begins again.? maybe this is the begining.

Now it 15min later and all is dead quiet?

it's 22.1? Didn't 2.1 originate 58.8? at least it did on my Sony set, then was remapped to 2.1.

This is right out of the IC database, which I just refreshed:

BC Vancouver 22 CHAN-DT GTN 492128 1225714 670.0 4300 518.00
BC Vancouver 8 CHAN-TV GTN 492128 1225714 711.0 125900 180.00 +

So Global Vancouver is assigned 22 as we knew, but what we don't know is whether they will remap to 22.1, 8.1, etc. etc.

Your ATSC tuner will pick up the signal on 22 and remap accordingly.

Is anyone else having trouble finding the CBC signal? Anyone know of maintenance going on? Thx.

Hi its 853pm I aimed my antenna at the construction crane and yes cbc is on here and just fine too.:p

For you new people I have to get a bounce off of a construction crane inorder to pick CBC and some times CTV as my location favours sea tac rather than seymour :confused:

hmmm...signal's been perfect for months, all of a sudden, nothing. CTV is fine though. Maybe I'll go check the antenna. Btw, I'm on Capitol Hill in Burnaby with a clear shot at Seymour.

:oI called and after four redirects I spoke to a insider and the word is as follows...

the software for redirecting 22.1 to ? is an older version and they need to update the software.... however they may go live today regaurdless and sort through that issue as they go.

I was pleased with the polite and speedy reply to my message I left on the for a return call as I got voice mail on the fourth redirect. I suggest scanning 22.1 as it may remap who knows where....mmmm seems this has been mentioned earlier up in the posts :D

Like everyone else I'm watching for Digital 22. Nothing on my Spectrum Analyzer except analog KMYQ.
