I have 4 movies on my Rogers bill that i didnt rent .my kids are to young to even know how to trun the power on tv and my DH is at work at the times of the rentels.. all 4 movies were rented between 1am and 1:30am and im out cold in bed by then.. also i dont even now what our codes are for the movies my DH set them up since im not a tv person.. more into my books and crafts..

Rogers says theres no error but how can that be?

is there a way to find out what movies were rented on my tv?

:) adult flics perhaps? ask your hubby :) Pretty sure the bill will list the tittles. i cant recall as i have only maybe rented once or twice in the last year.

Had any vistors? Babysitter? Possible candidates for those mystery rentals.

Rogers will usually reverse this for you once if you ask to escallate the issue. They can also put in a request so that no PPV is allowed if you so want, but that may not be what you want...

It's extremely rare that this happens in error - there's almost always a reason.

Also, as a very simple precaution, set your remote access code for buying adult stuff to something other than, say, 0000.

What are the 4 movies? If they are seemingly random or unknowns then you maybe able to argue that point. Have you ever sold or replaced an STB? Make sure you do not have extra terminals on your account.

Does that mean you sold a STB and didn't deactivate it, or that Rogers had a box on your account that shouldn't have been there?

yeah quite possibly that other unit on your account is who made the movie purchases....

Glad you were able to get it resolved with Rogers. I wonder how the other box got on the account?

ya Rogers had a box on my account that shouldn't have been there.

when we had our Rogers hooked up 5 other ppl that live in the same building as us also had theres hooked up. so my guess is he's the one who made the errer when setting up all the line and all that... it is a big building and rogers is at this building everyday..... hey i dont care now i got two month free out of this :D:D :D:D

i got two month free out of this

Did they also deduct the movies and extra terminal fee? This would be retroactive going back to when you had the service installed. A Rogers subscriber could tell you how much it is.

yeah depending how long you had the service 2 months might not be such a great deal after all. Also I hope you got a confirmation # for that free 2 months service.

This also happened to me. Most of the movies were during holidays while the whole family was away on vacation. No one had access or keys to our house. They also argued that it couldn't be a mistake. They did reverse the charges. Coincidentally we had picked up an additional rental box the month before. I don't know if that had any thing to do with it and never found out why. It was a few years ago and has never happened since.

If the titles do not appear on the bill, they are adult films. It's extremely rare to get these credited back, but it does happen.

Your password to access ROD/PPV will reset if you unplug the terminal and plug it in again .. so having a password won't work as an argument if these charges appear repeatedly. The best thing to do is speak with Cable Tech, who will deauthorise impulse ordering. In addition, set up a 2 digit PIN that is saved in SGI32 (Cable system) in order to purchase PPV thru the call center. This will work out in your favour if any more movies appear on the account.
