don't blame the forums because you don't know what you are doing...

you have to use a media center specific driver for your tv capture card and you also need a dvd decoder if you use the xp version...

if its too complicated, just get an HP...sheesh

KingBuzzo:

Actually, yes, I can blame the forums because most people here are racist to newbs (ofcourse, racist here means indifferent). The reason why? Because everything I've tinkered with over the years as a fun pastime was successful because of communities helping each other such as the ones on forums.

So, if a forum is dead which this forum is almost always or just doesn't reply to newb questions, no one can get help. I wonder why this place is even up. Check out all my threads and you'll see why I have an issue... they have all gone dead at one point or another.

And PS: I know it's not too complicated, and even if it is, it's possible and I know I can do it. Sadly, there's not too many "documents" or places that discuss this kind of stuff like what the hell does an IR blaster do (which I know now), or how I can make it work with the brick Motorola RG2400V, etc.

So, please don't get lippy without knowing what's going on.

You should visit a more Media Center-specific forum if you don't like the information you are provided with here. There is a "Green" one in particular that you will probably find very informative but to be honest I like this one a lot more because it is specific to Canada.
