I can go to the website and do all the sign up etc and it says "Congrats! TTV is available in your area" but when I call in they say it is available without HD. Total dealbreaker for me to do my switch from Shaw without HD.
Anyone know a way to see if HD is available in my building without having to phone them?

I don't believe there's a way for you to determine if your eligibility is for SD or HD without calling in.
If you want to pm me your number I can verify whether or not you can get HD. If they told you that you can't though it is going to be unlikely.

Thanks TTVguy. I am just so sick of shaw and satellite is not an option for me (Strata Rules). Telus TV is my only alternative. Is there insider info somewhere that will tell me "HD will never be offered in this location" etc?

Where are you? It's quite likely that HD will be available within the year if you are already able to get SD.

I can confirm that if eligible for HD, the site will tell you.

You can check if HD is available to you on the TELUS website.
When you enter your phone number/address to check availability, it if says TTV is available to you, read what it says below it in small print. It says "Congratulations, HD programming is available to you". If it doesn't say that, that means only SD is available to you.

Thanks for the info.
They should just add "HD not available at your location" instead of just saying nothing and making you wonder :D
