Great signals for both 19-1 (HD) and 28-1 (still SD) in Kitchener this morning. I'll wait for some of the Tropo to clear before making the final analysis. Also enjoyed TVO Kids in HD.

I'm getting the digital TVO signal in (with an indoor antenna) but it's not quite as strong as the CBC signal. But my reception for CBC has been bad for the past few days so it's possible something is blocking it. And I do have the problem of being on the back side of a hill. I'll have to try different locations for the antenna and see if I get a better signal.

Samsung TV is 100% signal
Centronics set top box is 82% signal, 100% quality.
Audio cutting in and out, ( maybe during this one cartoon at 9:48AM ?? I hope ?? ).
The dolby stream is steady on the sound processor, just the audio itself cutting out. I hope its just this one show. :o

UPDATE: "Peppa Pig" audio seems fine, so it maybe was just an isolated issue. I'll let my daughter keep me up to date.

Saw the Chatham signal online around 2AM, due to tropo. Couldn't lock the signal, but the meter showed something. The analog was very weak beforehand, but usually I couldn't get it at all.

I dozed off around 2:30 watching Windsor's analog 32. Woke up around 3:30 to static! I missed the transition!

I've checked three boxes, and all are acting differently. My Zenith box (one of the best I've ever seen, BTW) displays it as 32-1, great signal around 80 or higher, but no program guide or station ID. Picture is 4:3.

My DTV Pal maps it to 32-1, but only as an audio station!

My small RCA SDTV (only TV I actually own with a tuner) maps it to 62-1 for some odd reason, but I can't save it into memory due to WWJ also on 62. Even stranger, it somehow kicked out WJBK on 2-1! I can't tune to it manually, because typing 7-1 goes to WXYZ! I'll have to reprogram at some point. That TV frankly has a terrible tuner and PSIP info.

I'm getting 19.1 & 28.1 nicely. 15th floor, Queen & Margarette, Kitchener.

19-1 is great here at James & Jackson. The station was unusable on analogue.

Now that last nights tropo has settled down, I'm locking in at ~3 bars on my Samsung. I'm liking it....since I am way out of the intended coverage area 60 miles to the NW of the transmitter!!! Can't wait for them to fix the audio blips and cut to 1080i widescreen!!!

Wow, TVO tweeeted me the reason that there is no 1080i in london:

lightening hit the box we needed for 1080i in London. We are trying to get it fixed ASAP. #DTV2011 #LDNONT

19.1 coming in between 80 and 96% here east of Guelph with my 91XG pointed at Buffalo. Never touched the rotor.

What a great addition! This is one of the few Canadian stations I watch. I lost CHCH but gained TVO.

TVO is coming in allright on 19-1 here in Niagara Falls, Ontario. It cuts out a few times a minute, and I am wondering if it has anything to do with the analogue channel 18 that is showing what looks like a fuzzy TVO?

Lightning, wow. That would explain why 19.1 is HD and 28.1 is not right now

I might go mad having to watch much more children's programming testing out TVO but I have noticed the occasional audio drop during the programming. It seems to have nothing to do with the signal which has remained steady.

You may then want to put off testing until after 6pm.

I think I saw in another thread that using channel less than 3 was a problem for some devices?

I recall that same thread, to be more specific he mentioned the first program in a mux should start at program3. And when I saw that I had to look, there's several prominent stations in Buffalo that begin at program 1 or 2, and some at program5. 3 is definitely most common though. Don't recall any specific devices mentioned, and don't recall any history of people having device specific trouble scanning in Buffalo stations that weren't related to signal conditions. Does anyone else?
Until I saw some actual examples not sure how much salt it deserves.

Coming in fine on my Samsung Plasma (still in SD, no guide info or station identifier and the time/date is incorrect).

My HDHomeRun, however, is mapping it as 62-1 WWJ-HD, so that's a problem.

Since I posted on their Facebook page awhile back complaining about TVO not transitioning early, I thought I would post a congrats on tvontario's Facebook page - Facebook.com/tvontario

The more people that post on fb, shows how important OTA reception is.

TVO’s signal strength and PQ are outstanding, but no EPG, what a shame.:(

K, new tweet. Paris, London, Chatham & Windsor are all affected by said lightning.
