: TVOntario & TFO DTV Transition Status (closed)
x4mer 2011-08-17, 11:18 PM I actually managed to grab 18.1 TVO London tonight--though briefly. One difference I've noted: 18.1 has a "TVO" channel descriptor, and Paris/Kitchener 28.1 does not.
28-1 had PSIP, and was displaying TVO, as soon as it went live, as I posted in #408.
Jase88 2011-08-18, 12:34 AM Yes, thanks. I had to rescan to see it. No program descriptions though.
Still no video on the CM7000Pal tuner. Hopefully this issue gets resolved tonight.
scruffy416 2011-08-18, 01:00 AM 12:59 by my clock and analog is out, then back in for a second, and now it's out again...
Jase88 2011-08-18, 01:00 AM Both Paris/Kitchener 28.1 and analog Toronto 19 are down for me...right at 1am.
DrSat 2011-08-18, 01:01 AM Analog channel 19 Toronto now off the air, digital not up yet. Still getting a snowy picture on the analog 18 TVO from Peterborough I believe.
Phil81 2011-08-18, 01:02 AM CICO-32 in Windsor is still up in analog at 1:02 am.
...and still up at 1:15 am.
...still analog a 1:31 am hmmm... looks like it's trying to go down. Some occasional bursts of static.

update 1:10a: TVO Chatham is up on RF33 mapped to 33-1 with 4:3 480i and no PSIP or ID. Reception is in and out. Extremely poor signal. This was expected here though.
frubsen 2011-08-18, 01:02 AM Paris 28.1 is still working for me
UniformOscar 2011-08-18, 01:04 AM Belleville analog channel 53 was still up at 1:03 AM .. but it disappeared at 1:06 AM .
Belleville analog channel 53 still up at 1:03 AM ..
Got word from a mailing list I'm on that CICO-TV-53 (26) is now digital.

mrpeter105 2011-08-18, 01:12 AM Analog channel 19 Toronto now off the air, digital not up yet. Still getting a fuzzy picture on the analog 18 TVO repeater.
Can someone tell me from where that analogue 18 repeater is transmitting from? I thought 18 was London which already transitioned. Just curious.
I believe it is CICO-TV-74 from Peterborough.

bigoranget 2011-08-18, 01:21 AM I was getting a faint signal on channel 18 here in Hamilton as well. I'm also getting channel 27, which Global from Peterborough and channel 66 which is a CKWS repeater in Brighton.
I recorded the final moments of CICA from Toronto. I will check the recording out tomorrow and post it to You Tube if it turns out well.
UniformOscar 2011-08-18, 01:22 AM I just rescanned my TV and can definitely confirm the Belleville digital signal (26.1) is on the air.
ota_canuck 2011-08-18, 01:25 AM Yup, Analog 19RF is still dead and Digital TVO Toronto 19RF still not breathing, .
octopod 2011-08-18, 01:25 AM Chatham transmitter went down at 1am exactly and was back up in digital on 33 at 1:01am. No guide info and only 480i but still looks very good
bigoranget 2011-08-18, 01:27 AM My understanding is the Toronto signal will not be on the air until approx. 6:00am. If you need to get sleep, you might as well go to sleep and check in the morning.
DrSat 2011-08-18, 01:48 AM TVO 19.1 Toronto ON THE AIR!
Beautiful HD in 1080i!
Scans in as TVO but only generic EPG information (i.e. event 326)
Signal coming in at about 30 dB SNR here in Oakville, similar to CBC.
scruffy416 2011-08-18, 01:48 AM Digital feed on RF19 is up in Toronto. I'm getting huge signal here at Sheppard/400.
SNR of 32dB and my Sony TV's Signal level is at 98/100
It's 1080i, and the show that's running right now definitely looks like HD source material, not just an SD up-convert.
majortom 2011-08-18, 01:52 AM I was busy trying to find out what CKXTDT2 was. That's what I was receiving until TVO popped up...As expected rock solid so far here in Buffalo.
Looks like Dummy EPG info so far though, bummer.
CKXTDT2 Looks like SUN TV from London, ON. Go figure.
Phil81 2011-08-18, 01:57 AM Dang, zero changes down here on CH32 (Windsor area). Almost 2am and still analog as usual.
