Hotmail down for anyone else? Every time I tried to log into one of my 3 accounts I get this message The .NET Passport or Windows Live ID you are signed into is not supported. Please set up a free email account.
Or sometimes it just brings me back to the log in section over and over.
I checked them all earlier this evening with no issues.

Any one know whats going on or if its happening to anyone else.

Windows / msn messenger works, but the email logo now opens up thunder-bird instead of the web browser it never did that before.

Please no switch to Gmail type responses, I have those as well and they work but my issue is with hotmail.

Yes, I've been having the same problem for about an hour. Others seem to be experiencing this as well.

Hotmail and Windows Live ID experienced a service disruption starting at 8:44 PM (PST), which ended at 10:15 PM (PST), and during this disruption you may have been told your inbox did not exist. This was incorrect messaging. Your inbox, contacts and Live ID are all intact. We're all Hotmail customers, so we appreciate how frustrating this experience was. Thanks for your understanding. If you're still getting errors, please close out all browsers and sign in again.

It was a world wide outage... I was trying to video chat with a friend in Thailand and could not sign in... so I phoned her up and she was telling me the same.... she could not sign in and thought it was to do with her computer.... I told her I'm having the same problem and not to worry... soon after it was working again for both of us and we did our chat.
