If anybody from Novus looks at these forums, what are the chances of offering the following HD channel lineup for free instead of those that are offered now? Perhaps call it HD Essentials and provide it at no additional cost? I think this would better compete with Shaw's HD Basic lineup.

I wouldn't mind seeing CityTV Toronto, A&E, WGN, and APTN included only in HD Ultimate. If CityTV Vancouver, CBC NewsWorld, and CTV NewsNet ever start broadcasting in HD, those should probably be included in the Essentials lineup as well.

I agree that it would be nice to get all the US West feeds in HD for free. I personally hate having 151, and 153, but not 150, and 152. It makes it harder to remember which ones you do have.

Novus should probably change the lineup starting on channel 100 to be:

100 CBCHD (CBC Vancouver HD)
101 CBCNW (CBC NewsWorld HD)
102 CTVHD (CTV Vancouver HD)
103 CTVNC (CTV News Channel HD)
104 GLBHD (Global Vancouver HD)
105 ABCHD (ABC Seattle HD)

107 FOXHD (FOX Seattle HD)
108 NBCHD (NBC Seattle HD)
109 PBSHD (PBS Seattle HD)

These 10 channels would be sufficient for the free HD lineup. WGN, APTN, CNN, TLC, and CityTV should be part of the Essentials. It really makes no sense to have the standard definition of PBS and FOX but not the high definition, and the high definition of CNN but not the standard definition. It's wacky.
