In light of an impending salary reduction at the company I work for, I am trying to figure out where to cut costs. I currently have VIP Ulimate with movies as well as several other packages.

I have been looking at the Rogers site and I am finding it difficult to figure out what the reduced service I want is going to cost me. I know I cannot order just the specific channels that I want. I love how it is always just a few bucks more to get something else as well. ;-)

What would be the cheapest way to get the following:
Basic Cable (local channels, major US Networks, etc...)
Comedy Network
Space
Discovery
Food Network
G4 Tech TV

you would get all of those in the regular VIP package.

But is that the cheapest way of doing it?
