Sorry I could not find anything on this topic because the search function does not work for me.

I have Rogers Express Internet. I do not subscribe to cable TV at all.

I tried hooking up the cable to a tv and only got 2 channels. So I dug out an amplifier I had and hooked it up, now I get almost all 70 channels. Is this stealing? As far as I know there is a filter on the line because without the amp I only get those two channels...TVO and APTN I think.

Any help is appreciated.

Edit: The channels do not come in crystal clear but they aren't unwatchable.

Are you paying for the channels? No? Then yes, you are stealing services.

Can I get in trouble for this? Because Rogers has put a filter on the line...

You're not supposed to do it. If you subscribe to Internet only, then you should not be receiving any channels, and it could be considered theft of service.

Simply speaking, any attempts to watch cable signals or satellite signals that you are not paying for constitutes piracy therefore this thread is being closed.
