My DSR500 has a really hard time after powerblackouts - even short 30 second ones.

I usually have to do a couple 'soft -reset' s by holding the powerbutton down for 10 seconds.

My old 421b comes out fine.

Are your DSR500's giving you problems?

If it's a cronic problem, you could keep it connected to a small UPS to ensure it always has power.
