I love my home theater and even though I don't spend as much time with it as I would like, I always want to know more.

Post your comments here.

Well, I certainly enjoy my home theater. I've spent a lot of money on it, but it's been worth it.

I'm looking forward to finishing my basement in a couple of years, at which time I'll finally begin the construction on my dedicated home theater. I plan on using a DLP front projector with a 10' screen. It'll have 7 home theater lazyboy-type chairs.

I love my home theatre, It seems though it's never "complete", you know an upgrade here an upgrade there, tweeks here and there, moving things around untill it's just right, Untill you pick up and read the magazines and OH LOOK "Check out that amp" or "Figures now they come out with that projector". You gotta love this hobby!

Soundguy, is that the system that has its own "motion processor" and software for each particular movie? Have you sold (m)any? How current is the manufacturer in keeping up with software for just released DVDs?

I'm slowly trying to build a nice system.

I don't have the coin to go buy everything I want right now.

I finally got a nice pair of speakers. (Paradigm Monitor 3) I'm in a small place right now so I don't need bigger. Eventually I want the ADP-370's for surrounds and whatever the centre is that matches the set.

If I get a bigger house with room to build the movie room... the monitor 3's will become the rear surrounds.

This is just a pipe dream right now. DOH!

one thing about home theatre is the constant changes in technoligy it's almost as bad as computers.

they finally get crt based projection figured out to produce a fantastic picture and something else comes along like dlp and plasma and thats just for starters.

the good thing is that prices are alot better than they were a few short years ago.

i will say one thing that if your not completly impressed with your own system just invite a few of your freinds over that don't have nor have ever seen or heard what a good projection tv a dvd movie and 5.1 audio system can do. it blows them away evertime. no one can beleive the clairity of the pictures on todays RP all they remember is the old days when RP's in bars were dull and hard to see.

i'm in this for the long haul and as available money comes so will new toys.

Holy old-thread-revival batman!! :D

I'm finishing my own basement myself for my hone theatre. I guess I should've seen it coming and listened to everyone's warning... but it's turning into a time-consuming and expensive hobby. I'm never happy and always find something to improve! Someone stop me! ;)
